The Sleepy Turtle, with Pool Access!

Our Sleepy Turtle cabin-style tiny home provides a restful retreat for those who wish to enjoy our warm winters, tranquil sunsets, and refreshing breeze. We are located in La Mirada Country Estates, a family-friendly park with pool access!

18 minutes to Harlingen Airport; 35 minutes to McAllen; 11 minutes to Mercedes outlets; 45 minutes to South Padre Island; 1 Hour to SpaceX. Additional units may be available for larger groups!

THE SPACE:
The open floor plan, and large front porch, allows you and your guests to spread out between the TV area, front room, or dining room. Whether you’re staying for a short visit, or staying long term, the kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and keeping your stay on a budget! Get a great night’s rest on our comfortable Queen-size bed, and hide-a-way queen couch! The wide hallways, large door frames, large bathroom, and seated shower, allows easy use for those with wheelchairs or difficulty moving around. The outside has mature trees and well-maintained lawns, offering a shady spot to BBQ or enjoy the breeze.

ENTERTAINMENT:
The home has access to WiFi for your laptop, and smart TVs with apps you can sign into. Guests also have access to La Mirada’s community swimming pool, and access to their library of books, board games, and puzzles. Once the rec-room is finalized, there will also be a pool-table and large gathering place for multiple guests to enjoy!

KITCHEN SUPPLIES:
The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials, including serving dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, griddle, toasters, microwave, blender, coffee maker, mixing bowls, measuring cups, strainers, and basic spices.

TOIELETRIES AND LINENS:
We have bathing towels, hand towels, and rags. We have extra linens and blankets. We also supply dish soap, scrubbers, cleaning rags, and basic cleaning supplies. We do supply large generic shampoo and body wash; but you may want to bring your own if you have a particular brand you prefer to use.

LAUNDRY ROOM:
The mobile home park has a laundromat next to the community pool with large coin-operated commercial washer and dryers, allowing you to do a lot of washing in a short time.

PARKING:
Guests have two parking spaces in front of the home, with additional parking in the community’s guest parking lot located by the swimming pool.

CHECK-OUT DUTIES:
This is your vacation time, and we want you to be able to relax and enjoy your stay with us! In return, we do ask for a few simple check-out tasks to help us prepare the home in time for the next guests, as well as to help us keep our costs down so that we can continue to offer the home at a budget-friendly rate! In preparation for your departure, we only ask you to place your used rags and towels on the bathroom floor, wash any dishes you used, and put your trash in the home’s trash bins. We’ll take care of the rest!
