"Puanani", hawaiianisch für schöne Blumen, ist ein Familienhaus im hawaiianischen Stil, das sich am Ende einer ruhigen Sackgasse befindet. Hanalei Bay und die Stadt sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein großer Garten mit Plumeria, Hibiskus, nachtblühendem Jasmin und einem üppigen Garten mit melodischen Singvögeln kann von der Vorder- und Rückseite bedeckten Lanais genossen werden. Das Haus ist mit Korb- und Bambusmöbeln eingerichtet und verfügt über offene Deckenbalken und Wände aus natürlichem Zedernholz. Es bietet ein geräumiges und komfortables Ambiente.

Der sichelförmige Strand von Hanalei Bay ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt und lädt zum Sonnenbaden, Strandkämmen, saisonalen Schwimmen und spektakulären Sonnenuntergängen ein. Machen Sie einen Spaziergang am Strand entlang zum historischen Hanalei Pier und genießen Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge und Wasserfälle.

Ein weiterer kurzer Spaziergang bringt Sie in die malerische Stadt Hanalei, in der sich zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants sowie ein Markt und eine Post befinden. Während Sie diese historische Stadt erkunden, probieren Sie lokale Favoriten, rasiertes Eis und Smoothies.

It felt like home for the time we were lucky enough to stay there. I would definitely stay there again!

The noise didn’t bother us much, since we mostly were out and about in the daytime.The kitchen amenities were good, the bathrooms were nice and clean, and the outdoor shower was great!Overall we are very satisfied.

Nice house. Very private on a small cul-de-sac. Neighbors can be a little noisy at times -- loud conversations/music until 11pm or so isn't uncommon. But super convenient to the Lahaina main strip...easily walkable to tons of restaurants, shops, and the beach. No A/C, so you'll use the fans a lot in the summer. Kitchen has the basics, but no dishwasher.

We absolutely adored everything about our stay at Puanani house. It was immaculate and comfortable in every way. The location was perfect - we could walk to the beach or town in minutes, but had a sense of quiet and peace away from the crowds. The kitchen was well set up and the grill very good, so we cooked in several times. Despite the rainy week it was a joy to be there. Reading on the lanai with the mountains moving in and out of the clouds was the perfect way to get out of the rain. I can't wait to come back.

1973 Beach Cottage Time Capsule

This property ended up becoming our home for 4 days and not just a place to sleep and plop our stuff into. The location can not be understated, the beach was 5 minutes in one direction and town was 5 minutes in the other. All you need and more is within walking distance. The property was incredibly clean and every drawer had exactly what you needed. There were plenty of towels provided and a larger main bathroom than I expected. There were also unexpected beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a beach umbrella provided in the laundry space. There was an overall sense of love and care to the space that was palpable. We can’t wait to come back. I can’t leave a review without mentioning that if you are needing a/c or a dishwasher they won’t be found here. This place is a true beach cottage from another time but that isn’t a downgrade.

Terrific location - just a short, 5-minute walk to the middle of Hanalei Bay beach.Very nice place, with much more character than a condo.Only problem was a rooster who started crowing before midnight and kept it up off and on for the rest of the night. I asked my son to get out of bed, go find it, and make us some rooster fricassee. But he wouldn't.This happened only one night out of 5. No idea why.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely, in a typical Hawaiian style. It is in a great location in Hanalei - a couple blocks to the shops and the beach and has a very nice garden and deck area. The neighborhood is a bit of a challenge however owing to the complete lack of soundproofing. Quiet time is mentioned but this includes INSIDE the home too. Forget watching TV after dinner for which we were visited, yelled and swore at. I enjoyed a similar experience a couple days later (without the visit) for talking too loudly while doing the dishes at 8 20 in the evening.Bring a good book. Go to bed at 8pm. Talk to no-one for the remainder of the night and you'll be fine. It is a house I would have gladly returned to but NOT in the current environment - nor will I be encouraging friends and family to go.
