Open the bi-fold doors and step straight into your private outdoor entertainment space, complete with undercover hot tub, fire pit and enclosed garden — ideal for relaxed evenings outdoors whatever the weather. Dogs are warmly welcomed too, with secure fencing helping everyone switch off more easily.

Inside, the cottage is designed for easy self-catering stays, with a well-equipped kitchen including a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and everything needed for cooking at home, along with a separate utility cupboard with washer/dryer.

The light and airy living spaces are ideal for spending time together, whether that’s cosy evenings in, family meals around the table or slower mornings with coffee while looking out across the countryside. Guests can also enjoy a Smart TV, Bose speaker system and WiFi throughout.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be a charge for the sofa bed if only 4 guests or less are staying.
We have travel cots and high chairs available to hire if you have any little ones (these can be booked direct for a small cost).


Exterior

Toppesfield Hall Cottage, is a Grade 2 listed Victorian Cottage, with original sash windows to the front. It has a private fenced garden with Fire Pit.

Logs & Coal available to purchase on site.

There is a 6 Seat undercover Hot Tub, a Fire Pit and a Coal BBQ, Patio Table and Chairs and two Sun Loungers in the garden.

Wildlife on-site
Toppesfield Hall is set in the countryside, and our guinea fowl and other local wildlife add a charming touch to your stay. Please note: they may be vocal at times including night-times.

As you get closer to the Essex/Suffolk Border, you will be sure to notice a greener outlook.

Driving through Toppesfield Village you will see our wonderful pub with its spacious outdoor garden for children to play and dogs to roam. You will also pass St Margaret’s Church, our community shop and post office.

This village is full of natural beauty and much character too. There is a park for the children and the village green provides a safe haven for family picnics and games.

Toppesfield Village can be accessed via a short 8 min stroll across the grassed footpath from Toppesfield Hall or from the main country road.
