Unterkunft liegt direkt am Eingang des Yosemite NP. Unterkunft war sauber. Sehr gutes Restaurant direkt nebenan.

Poor service, however room OK except noisy fridge
Reception was not helpful when asked about possible guided tours or options what to do. Daily room service (we stayed 3 nights) was cancelled due to 'Covid-19' which is meanwhile not an excuse to not provide any room service, while charging full price anyway. Our room was relatively large, and generally OK, except that the fridge was very noisy. We unplugged the fridge and then got some water in the room coming out of the fridge, as there was a lot of ice melting from the fridge's freezing compartment.

An sich hat uns die Unterkunft gut gefallen, leider waren wir mit dem Check in mega unzufrieden. Wir waren eh schon sehr früh da, da wurde uns gesagt dass checkin erst ab 16 Uhr möglich sei. Leider war auch um 16 Uhr das Zimmer noch nicht fertig . Die Warterei war gerade mit Kind sehr mühselig. Wir waren am Ende erst gegen 18 Uhr in unserem Zimmer .

When we entered out room, both beds had black hair on them on every single sheet and pillow as if they hadn’t even been exchanged. I immediately took a pillow covered in black hair to the receptionist, who lacked motivation and expected me to change pillow covers and sheets myself, because room service was already „gone“. After stating my disappointment her manager (?) immediately sent room service and everything was exchanged. Right after the exchange one new pillow cover still had a big blackish stain on it and a really tiny spider was in one of the beds, but it was overall better. Because of a lack of options in the area we stayed. I cannot comprehend the good rating because the lodge is obviously old (though renovated on the surface, which makes for good photos), walls are paper-thin, our air conditioner was unbearably loud, rooms are dark, our bathroom was home to many (although small) ants and especially, was generally relative unclean. Cupboards and every surface bit the most exposed were covered in dust, the curtains had stains on them, the toilet seat had little spots on it etc. The pool and whirlpool were rather unclean. The manager told me the sheets were all new and he didn’t know what to say, he seemed unmotivated, so did the front desk. The best interactions happened with the janitor (?) as well as housekeeping staff, who were friendly and kind. This hotel is grossly overrated, don‘t even remotely expect what you‘d get in chain hotels in the same price range.

I personally investigated the mentioned specifics with the team to ensure that such occurrences do not happen again and that our guests have an enhanced customer experience. I can assure you the sheets are laundered and sanitized. We get our linen pressed and delivered by an outside linen service. I can only surmise that the sheets you encountered did not pass QA and had a stain on it. We work incredibly hard to provide a clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay near Yosemite. We also are located in an outdoor forest environment and therefore there are some challenges with dust and other outside environmental impacts. I am not making an excuse, but your review is very scathing and damaging, and unfair especially when you see many of your fellow guests recognize our efforts and experience a rather different and enhanced stay. Alles war super, nur ein Detail soll erwähnt werden: Das WLAN war echt unterirdisch, mal konnte man sich nicht anmelden, wenn man einmal drin war war es schwer einen Punkt im Zimmer zu finden an dem man auch einigermaßen Empfang hat, und dann ist es auch noch extrem langsam. Das letzte mag der Abgelegenheit des Örtchens geschuldet sein, aber an dem Rest kann gearbeitet werden.

The location of this property relative to the park is why we chose to stay here. It's a nice property, well maintained, and clean. The rooms are a nice size and have everything you need. The outdoor area with tables and chairs for relaxing is very nice. The only thing that created a problem is that using their mailing address in your GPS will get you to a location 13 miles away! That's a lot on a 2 lane winding road after a long day of traveling! The description should say it's in Buck Meadows even if the mailing address is different. That would at least keep people from driving right past it.

We had very clean, comfortable accomodations! We had a great stay. Enjoyed Yosemite National Park - so easy to get to the entrance. Property was great. Had picnic meals a couple of times. Enjoyed wine on Adirondack chairs a couple of nights. Nice to walk to restaurant next door. Good food, wonderful staff. Cleaning staff was very efficient and did a good job supplying us with what we needed. Jennifer at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff over weekend and when we checked out was rude.

The reason I don’t give your property a five star is because how thin the walls are I actually felt like the person in the room next to me was in my room talking and they weren’t yelling. I could understand every word I could hear when they got a text I was in room 504. Not sure if something can be done about that. It was truly crazy how well I could hear them. Also the night we got in I was having trouble with the remote the gentleman that came and helped us was incredibly rude. He did come back a couple minutes later and was very nice. However, he did not apologize for his behavior. I just attribute it to him having a bad day, I work with the general public so I know how hard it can be. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. I did love how clean my room and the property was.

Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a 20-minute drive from the Big Oak Flat gate - Hwy 120. Did not see anything nearer. It is nicely furnished and property is pristine. Our room seemed like good hotel. The more rustic restaurant and bar next door has a full menu for every meal and is open from 7 am to 9 pm. Had 4 meals there and would have liked to try more from the dinner menu.

We liked the hotel location; it was safe, and parking was easy. Shopping was in Groveland, and you had to drive to get there. Dining options was limited. Uncle Buck's was good and convenient but got crowded at times. The next dining location was several miles away. The hotel was located outside the National Park, but convenient to access the park. We visited Yosemite Park several times and also visited Big Trees State Park, Arnold, CA and 1897 Rail Town, Jamestown, CA.

Only 1.5hrs from either Hetch Hetchy or Yosemite Valley. Nice facility, the mattresses could use an upgrade, overall pretty good place. I’d come back for sure! Cafe next door was really good, service was good but understaffed which seems to be the normal these days so be prepared to wait.

Property is nice enough, but service was horrendous. Walked into the room and discovered thermostat handing from the wall and reading 54 degrees F. I tried my best to adjust it but had no idea how to do so. I called reception and asked for help and she said she couldn’t assist. I then asked if she could send maintenance, but she told me that they had all left for the day. Please bear in mind that check-in as at 3:00 and I arrived at 5:00. So apparently maintenance staff all leave before the guests arrive. I was offered a space heater but had paid almost $300 CDN/night for the hotel, so I expected heating that worked. Someone eventually arrives who was able to address the thermostat issue, but just a horrible experience to begin our stay

We are here at the beginning of April 2024. Our room was on the second floor of building one. Room was very clean, very quiet, in a very good condition. Two minor drawbacks: Coffee from the in-room coffee maker was horrible. Front desk lady was, to my great amazement, completely unaware of a nearby landmark called the Dead Giant Tunnel Tree at Tuolumne Grove. Otherwise, everything else was great.
