Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. “

„This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. The cleanliness of the room was a bit lacking due to spider webs being in the corners and the bathtub had some mildew, also the cabinet tops had not been cleaned. It was also hard to get a response like “Hello” from the employees or any type of greetings. We had ordered our room with a “large breakfast” and had confirmation of this, but was told this no longer existed and that we would get a mini ...
