Come summer, a dip in the shared pool will be the perfect escape from the heat. When everyone returns from a full day of adventure, the communal gas fireplace will be waiting to unthaw frozen toes and the gas grill can be just the ticket for a cookout in the fresh air. When the stars come out, gather for a movie night with loved ones or simply reminisce about the day's memories until everyone is ready to doze off to sweet dreams.

This lovely condo is centrally located and is an ideal launching point for year-round recreation. Aside from back door access to ski and bike Granby Ranch, you will also be in close proximity to the Granby Ranch Golf Course (two miles north) and Winter Park Resort (20.5 miles south). Granby Ranch offers a number of hiking trails, as well as locations for fly fishing. You can also take a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, Hot Sulphur Springs, Lake Granby, and the Arapahoe National Forest, all accessible within a 30-minute drive.

Great location but some opportunities

The location and general condo are great. True to description with ski in/out which was so convenient. The blinds in the condo were old, dirty and nearly impossible to use. Probably most frustrating was every single night from 6-11pm there was NO hot water at all. Very inconvenient after a long day skiing. The listing stated there was a 10/person clubhouse fee per day. That has been increased to 15 which is just ridiculous. Options for cook were were limited with lots and pans, no crockpot. There were tide pods for laundry and checkout requirements were minimal which was all nice. Lastly the condo door code was 10 digits which is not ideal for anyone.

Living room couch was reason enough not to book again

I've stayed at Base Camp One many times before. Location is great. It's by far the best place to stay at Granby Ranch. I was surprised this unit did not come with a ski locker... not a huge deal because we could store gear in the entry & front bathroom, and we were all capable to walk half the length of the building in ski boots... but I was expecting a locker due to other stays there, so not having it was slightly disappointing... even more disappointing was the communication both via phone (routed to India where the rep knew less about the place than I did) and email (very late / non responsive) when I asked about it. The couch in the main room was horrible. Not sure I'd even qualify it as a couch. Felt like something college kids decided wasn't good enough for their front porch. The listing has the beds all wrong, so I trusted the picture, and the bed in the second bedroom was much smaller than advertised with the presumed wide angle lens. So that was pretty weak.Not that this is the fault of this rental, but everyone was woken up by loud banging / stomping from the unit above... be nice if there was someone to inform who could handle that, but what are you going to do?All in all it was fine. Nothing that people wanting to have a good time couldn't deal with. But I'd definitely opt for a different unit next time.

Nice size unit for a family and a nice place, but it needs more upkeep, more maintenance, a deep cleaning and some better cleaning after each rental. Also a faster response from the Local Property Manger would be nice when Property Management has been notified of some issues.

Nice place at 201 Gather

Overall we had a really nice stay. It’s nice that the property is steps from the ski lift. The space is nice and roomy and it’s nice the fit has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We wish this condo had a place to store our skis overnight. The last condo we stayed in had a locker downstairs that we were able to keep them in but we were told the owners store their skis there- this was an inconvenience. The tv’s are small in both the den and master bedroom and the tv in the master bedroom goes out every 10 minutes to do a reboot- this was extremely annoying to wait for a minute or two while you’re in the middle of a show. The toilet seat in the master bedroom was broken so we had to hold it so it wouldn’t fall. Lots of the lamps needed new lightbulbs. The kitchen needs a cookie sheet and tea pitcher. Overall we had a nice stay but hopefully for the next guests these things can be fixed for an even better stay.

Decent Place, but there were some issues.

Overall, the place is decent. Nothing particularly special, but it does the job. Location can’t be beat as it’s right by Granby Ranch ski lift. However, there were a few issues that had more to do with the property management than the place itself: 1. Provided code did not work and we needed to call to get access. Code instructions were not clear as multiple were provided. 2. Speaking of codes, the patio code did not work until we were told that the door had a new keypad off to the side. There was no mention of the new keypad. 3. No check in book or information was available when we got in. Most notably, there was no parking pass that we could find. Overall, place is good, communication could be better but we would consider staying there again.

1 Key of a 3 bedroom, not convenient

This unit was one of the only ones without a keyless entry to the room. They only had 1 physical key for a 3 bedroom with 3 Adults. Kind of defeats the purpose of a ski in ski out place when the adults have to coordinate a meetup to enter the room. Vacasa customer service was no help as there wasn't another physical key to bring to us. What would have happened if we left the key in the unit? We paid big $ for service and convenience fee and didn't get service nor convenience on this trip.

Granby Winter Ski Vacation

Everything was perfect for our family with young children! Spacious living area. Well stocked with dishes and silverware. Plenty of towels. Exceptionally clean. Great slope side view. Easy ski in ski out location from mountain base. Can’t wait to rent this unit again!

Great Ski Granby Ranch

The condo was great and very comfortable. Very up to date property. I loved the bed in the Master Suite it was very comfortable! We were not able to regulate heating in Master Suite. The rest of the condo was very comfortable in temperature and the temp in the Master Suite was sweltering. We were able to open one of the bedroom windows to mitigate the issue. Also, the code at the front door and door onto the ski slopes were different. We were only given a code for the front doors. So we had to continuously had to go around the buidling to get back in the doors.

Great Place/More details, Please

This condo was absolutely perfect for my three grown kids, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. We had enough space for everyone, it doesn't show it, but the twin room is a trundle bed. There were three full bathrooms, which is essential with big groups. Nice high end finishes made the stay more comfortable, I just wish we were instructed on how they worked. There are board games hidden in the living room table, that we accidentally found, also a small sleigh for sliding down the hills with located in the coat closet. There is ample amount of linens and towels for our stay, there is even a conveniently stackable washer and dryer in the unit. For those not into the keurig coffee there are two regular coffee makers over the frig. We were so appreciative for the garage parking, especially since it snowed during our stay. If you park near the entrance and use the stairs near the entrance, you'll be parked directly under the unit. For those who need an elevator, there is a central elevator as well. My family and I used the stairs most of our stay. One great feature is the rolling carts to carry your luggage or groceries with the hassle of going back and forth, we definitely like this because of the many bags we had. We would have liked to enjoy the amenities more, but because of covid, I believe they were closed. I also wish that what we could or couldn't do was made aware to us. I also wish ideas of things to do in the area or recommended eateries were given as well. There was no information on anything, which was unusual especially since this unit is located on a resort. I even asked two weeks prior to arrival about things to do, and only was told we needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We checked in during the late evening and had to call, because the checkin email stated we had parking in front the unit, well the unit is on the 2nd floor, it never stated we could park in the garage. We had to wait for someone to call us back with the information, frustrating after a 15hr drive. My only complaint is the lack of pertinent information needed during our stay. If you think like you are on vacation, then this would help when giving and sharing information about the unit and the area. I would definitely stay in the resort again, but would appreciate better communication.
