Nette Lodge in Glen Ellen
Da wir ein Weintasting bei Benziner gebucht hatten, ist uns dieses Hotel ins Auge gefallen. Es ist nur eine halbe Meile vom Weingut entfernt. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und sauber. Der Pool ist top (Außenbereich). Direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite gibt es einen Markt mit einer großen Auswahl an frischen Speisen. Dieser ist genauso wir das Hotel zu empfehlen.

The Jack London Lodge is very basic, with mid-fifties decor and minimal furnishing in rooms. However, it was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was high quality.

Perfect location for wine tasting and so close to restaurants, a patisserie for coffee and excellent grilled sandwiches at Glen Ellen Market. Beautiful location on a small creek with a pool and hot tub. Will definitely come back to stay in the room we had which had an updated bathroom and very comfortable bed. Wish the window could open.

Best Stay Ever
One of the better hotel experiences I have ever had! As a traveling event producer, living in and out of hotels over 300 days per year, I would say my experience and knowledge of what makes a hotel extremely comfortable is very high. At the top of the list for me, Jack London Lodge is right there. Comfortable beds, very relaxing little town, cute boutique market and amazing French bakery in walking distance. The saloon is a great time as well! Bruce is so kind and willing to accommodate any of your needs, also. I cannot wait to stay here again.

Small town charm and great location!
The Jack London Lodge was a perfect spot for a wine tasting trip. Small town charm and walkable to several wonderful restaurants and morning coffee. The Saloon is next door, full of Jack London memorabilia and an amazing back terrasse next to the river. The hotel had wonderfully comfortable beds and we especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi tub!

Comfort and good value
Very comfortable and in a great location. You get exactly what you'd want from this somewhat updated motel. The rooms are small and not luxurious, but the beds are super comfortable, there are a couple of USB charging ports on the clock, free wifi, and a small fridge. It's an easy walk to the excellent Village Market, Les Pascals bakery, and Michelin restaurant Glen Ellen Star.

No Microwave, Limited Service, But OK
This is a modest hotel w/ limited service. Service and a microwave are available only from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The microwave is in the office, so it is inconvenient and not available when I wanted it. I don't know how good service is during the hours that someone is in the office, but it is non-existent when one might really need it, such as after 7 p.m., during the night, and early morning. We arrived just after 7 p.m. and the office was locked. Information from the office said that after hours, one should contact the bar that is associated w/ the motel. I did so, asking about the availability of a microwave. The barman said he knew nothing about microwave availability, apologizing and saying there is only a limited relationship with the motel. The beds were good, as was the bath and heating. The wash area was outside the bathroom, which I found awkward. Space and lighting were sufficient. The photograph is misleading, as there is nothing garden-like about the motel setting. There is a pool and I don't know if it is heated. Glen Ellen is tiny, with limited service. That's all the more reason why each room should have a microwave. The price was reasonable and much less than the upscale places. The motel is located close to Jack London's park, a place I love, so I would return. But I'd plan ahead for dinner and breakfast if I didn't want to eat out. I would also make sure the motel has REAL contacts in case of emergencies.

Hello and thank you for choosing to stay with us. I understand your dissatisfaction regarding no microwave in the guest room. The reason for this is that at time's people cook some really smelly foods which can linger for days in the room. All "late arrivals" receive a welcome letter which contains a "emergency contact phone number" in bold print should a guest need assistance. We appreciate you taking your time to let us know your views and will take all under further consideration.
