Your OceanSmile condo theme, “OceanSmile”, surfed in on a 2019 remodel wave. Ocean waves, blue horizons and palm wrapped shoreline inspire your relaxing beach retreat. Sunny rays and translucent waves carry you to a virtual beach. Custom tile-murals wrap the bath showers and kitchen backsplash in visual panoramas. Listen closely and they almost whisper relaxing ocean sounds. Enough about waves and surf, let’s begin your journey…

First stop, Galveston Island and The Maravilla resort. After sailing over the causeway, turn right at the Gulf of Mexico, and there you are minutes from pocket beaches to the west, and rentable umbrellas to the east. Arrival time is 4pm. Now, put away the watch, you’re on Island time.

Next stop, escape the sun under covered-parking shade, then let one of three elevators lift you up to the top floor (third) for great ocean views. Condo access is easy, just press your secure computerized door-code, no key required. Next step, ready? I can’t wait to show you one of our favorite creations!! Let’s open the door…

After cool air welcomes you in, custom-towel “critters”, on adult-sized bunks, say to your kids (or adults) “We’ve been waiting for you!! Let’s play together in your pretend clubhouse!!” This dinette table converts from a daytime computer/game/dinette table to night-time bunks, cool! One mom remembers her kids begging to leave the beach so they could get back to their bunks, haha. Now that’s an OceanSmile :-) experience!

Warm sun rays jump through the picture window pulling you out. This OceanSmile location brings you two views; an ocean view plus an additional lagoon/lake vantage point. This east view sweeps from lagoon to ocean while echoing water fountain sounds below. Of course the ocean view has bragging rights, but the owners love watching a variety of lagoon wildlife.

Your one-of-a-kind “kitchen-on-a-beach” creation, lays next to a sand-topped ceramic-tile panorama. Enjoy soft-close drawers and pantry shelves serve cookware and utensils needed for tonight’s “see food” (pun intended) menu. Food just tastes better here. Right? Especially fresh off the local fishing pier. We don’t promise to provide every necessity; foil, zip-locks, trash-bags, soap etc… but you may find a few surprises worthy of an extra smile :-)

Unwinding is easy. OceanSmile sleeps up to 8 guests in four separate areas; a private King bedroom, a private Queen bedroom, 2 hallway adult-sized bunkbeds with a convertible dinette option and a leather-queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This is not a typical hotel room, but your home away from home. The bedrooms provide a convenient dresser and closet behind a full-length mirror. The beds/bunks hide ample suitcase storage underneath. And best of all, it’s CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Wake up to coffee served by Mr. Coffee or Mrs. Keurig (your choice). First-day complimentary hot beverages; waiting for your OceanSmile experience. Sips of coffee blend ocean views with Great-tailed Grackle bird voices. Huge pelicans overhead look like bombers compared to these little jet fighters. So much to ponder… so little time… because Galveston activities are waiting!!

The Maravilla complex gives you three pool options. The largest, one of Galveston’s finest, wraps around a palm-tree swim-up Island. A flowing stream empties into The Maravilla’s Zero-entry kiddie pool. The third pool, across the property, remains heated during the winter, waiting to steam those cooler days.

Before jumping in the car, consider convenient walking destinations. Right next to your resort, the world’s longest (10.3 miles) sidewalk stretches from beach to beach waiting to be conquered by bike or shoe. Or stop at Jimmy’s on the Pier and order a meal with a view. Kids might enjoy the next-door Go-Karts and Fun Center; arcade, virtual-reality, bumper cars, axe throwing, digger machines and ATVs. Walk 8 minutes to hit the batting cages, or sink a hole of Putt-Putt golf.

A short 2 minute ride, dunks you at Galveston’s famous Schlitterbahn water-park or the many attractions of Moody Gardens; Aquarium Pyramid, Rain Forest Pyramid, 4D theater, Reef Rescue VR, Discovery Museum, Paddlewheel Boat and Zip Lines.

If boredom sets in, haha, head to Galveston Island’s famous Historic Pleasure Pier. Pleasure Pier is one of the few spots in the world that has dozens of rides over the water! You'll be flying over guests on the Pier, soaring over the Gulf of Mexico and anticipating your next ride!

After experiencing Island life, OceanSmile welcomes you home. However, your OceanSmile experience is not over yet. You are about to retreat to a one-of-a-kind shower panorama. This virtual wrap-around beach, brings back wonderful memories from today’s ventures.
After dimming blue-sink lights and spotlighting the wave mural, one more question must be answered in the solitude of rain-shower mist: Was this a OceanSmile day? Such an easy answer. No words needed…. :-)

Pet Policy:
We welcome furry friends! If you're planning to bring your dog, please inform us about the type and weight for approval. A non-refundable pet fee of $150 plus tax applies for up to two dogs which must be paid up front. Kindly add 'PET' to your reservation. NOTE: If you bring a pet that you have NOT paid for, this is in violation of our House Rules and you could be asked to leave with no refund.

Agreement:

* Responsible party over 25 must show photo ID when checking in
* No events or parties (including Spring Break or Prom)
* No hidden fees or additional taxes.
* Clean, fresh air only. No smoking or pets allowed.
* Upon arrival, the Maravilla front office will collect a parking/swim band fee, credit card only.
1) Parking Rates are $10.00 per car per day PLUS Sales tax (2 cars max for 2 bedroom condos)
2) Trailers (Motorcycle) will be charged the same rate as cars and are limited to special event weekends such as Biker Rally Weekend. No other time are trailers of any sort allowed to be parked at Maravilla.
3) Per day rates will be capped after $70.00 per 30 day time period, and the per day rate will start over again on the 31st day.
