While this home is fully remodeled, the classic Galveston Island elements have been tastefully preserved from wide trim to high ceilings to hardwood floors. With the attractive coastal amenities and the ultra soft 5-star hotel quality bedding and towels, Casa Azul will leave you nothing short of absolute comfort during your stay!

The scenic Seawall is just 2 blocks from this home. Guests can enjoy the many restaurants from seafood to pizza or head to the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. Still not enough, check out Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, or the fabulous and historic Strand. There's plenty of activities to do, and of course, there is nothing better than a day at the beach!

We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!

979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

We were close enough to walk to a great beach with chairs and umbrellas and a red light at the corner. We would stay here again. The ac unit in kitchen window is not working properly.

The house was perfect for our family of 5. Updated and clean, and great location! Walkable to everything we wanted to do- beach, pleasure pier, bike and golf cart rentals, even an easy 1 mile walk over to the historic Strand district. Would definitely recommend this rental to friends.

My friend, myself and her two dogs stayed over spring break and had a wonderful time. You can’t beat the location…about one block off the beach and a few additional blocks to the pier. The house is comfortable with adequate air conditioning and has been recently updated. Fenced in yard for dogs and nice patio. We walked all over the near by neighborhoods enjoying the gorgeous houses. Host was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again

This property is perfect. Seriously, it is located within walking distance from the Sewall just down the street and around the corner from the Pleasure Pier. We were in town for the Santa Hustle run and it was the perfect spot. The beds are very comfortable as well. Plenty of linens were provided and the place was clean and quiet. Would stay here again anytime. Thank you

Our recent trip to Galveston was made even more pleasurable by staying at Casa Azul. The 979 team did an amazing job in making this 2 bed/1 bath beach bungalow so welcoming! Only 2 short blocks from Seawall Blvd & the beach, the property was so conveniently located to restaurants, shopping & all the sights Galveston has to offer. We highly recommend you check out Casa Azul for an enjoyable beach getaway!

Perfect location for visiting the beach. It is just two very short blocks to the beach with a stoplight for crossing Seawall Blvd. Easy walk to the pleasure pier. Well equipped with everything needed for a family with kids and dog. And clean!

This house had cute interior decor and was very clean. It was about a 2 block walk to the beach, so we loved the location. There is a little back porch with a table, great for morning coffee or evening wind down when weather permits. Super comfy beds and window units provided great white noise for sleeping.

Casa Azul is the perfect place to rest your head after a great day at the beach, or on the Strand, or at the Pleasure Pier or anything else you do in Galveston. It is very clean, well-maintained and in an ideal location. We definitely give a thumbs up for this rental property.

Cute 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The window units are used to drown out traffic noise at night on 19th street as this is a very busy thoroughfare. The cottage has central air and heat. Beds are very comfortable which for us is a must as that can really ruin a trip. Centrally located within walking distance to the Seawall and many eateries and shops. Local favorites were Bambu for breakfast, The Original Mexican Restaurant for Lunch or Dinner, and Katie’s. Although Millers Seawall is just a short walk away, the food was mediocre at best. This is a great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance to both the Seawall and downtown. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed this little cottage by the sea!

I stayed here for 10 nights and have no major complaints, I was alone the first 5 night and my husband joined me for the rest. Having never been to Galveston, the area seemed a little sketchy but we had no issues. They do not allow any early check in or late check out and there are a lot of gaps and cracks around doors and windows so lots of bugs find their way in. Sleeper sofa was broken, no cable tv, streaming only so can’t watch news or sports. The two beds in rooms were very comfortable. Pots and pans all scratched up teflon so if you want to cook, may consider that…overall a nice vacation spot, I would probably stay there again. Also very loud to sleep so bring ear plugs, it’s right on a main LOUD road. Not a bad review, just an honest one 😉
