The host was communicative prior to booking and responsive to our initial questions, which helped us determine the home would meet our needs. We had discussed the possibility of early check-in if cleaning was completed ahead of schedule.We arrived around 3:30 p.m., understanding early access might not be possible, and reached out to the host. She responded quickly and stated the cleaners were not finished and would let us know when we could enter. Although no one appeared to be inside, we waited. I followed up again around 3:55 p.m. but did not receive a response until after 4:00 p.m., at which point we entered at the scheduled check-in time. After a 7.5-hour drive, this was slightly frustrating but understandable.The home itself was clean, very attractive, and nicely updated. While unloading, we noticed the barstools and kitchen chairs were loose and unsafe to sit on. The host said someone would come Saturday, but the repairs were completed while we were away and without prior confirmation.We also asked about towels, as the home provides one towel per guest for the entire stay. This did not meet our needs, and we were advised to wash them if needed.Suggestions for future guest comfort would include providing one towel and washcloth per guest per day, adding hangers in the closets, and including suitcase racks.Overall, the home is beautiful and well maintained, with a few communication and amenity improvements that could enhance the guest experience.
