We truly enjoyed our stay! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were a nice touch after a day at the wineries and shopping.

Great Stay at the Vicars Room
We love Fredericksburg and enjoyed staying at The Vicars Room for this quick trip. We were able to relax by the pool in the afternoon after checking in and before heading to dinner nearby. The room and bathroom were very spacious and relaxing.
We loved this place. It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect, close to the downtown.
The bed was very comfortable. We will stay there again!
We loved staying in the Vicars Room. The location allowed us to walk everywhere we went. We walked to town everyday for breakfast and had way too much fun at Hondo’s every evening listening to live music and making new friends. Shout out to Pasta Bella. Love the atmosphere, the featured local wine and of course the Pasta!!

Main Street Retreat Vicars
We had an amazing stay at Main Street Retreat! It was perfect for our large group of 18. Each of us had our own space to relax, and we enjoyed spending time together at the pool. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Charming stay
Only thing I would change is better pillows. The stay was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The cottage was amazing.
The property was very well kept. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was close to the pool. The shower was awesome. We will stay here again.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Honeymooners.
Came with a friend for a birthday weekend retreat. Place was perfect! Very cute and great bathroom… the lighting and getting-ready-area was well thought out! Pool was a real treat as weather was still hot. Needed more of something and it was brought to us in such a timely manner. Totally would stay here again!
Morning walking Main Street before the heat was too oppressive. Then afternoon by the pool listening to the ballgame. Quick walk to restaurant for dinner. Only slight disappointment was that many places were closed Monday and/or Tuesday and/or Wednesday
Our two night stay in the Vicars retreat was great. We enjoyed the simple modern decor. The bed was comfortable, with various blankets for temperature control. The pool was right outside our room but those enjoying it didn't didn't bother us. I gave four ⭐ s for cleanliness because there was a soap rapper and hair in the drain from previous guests but overall we were very happy with our stay. We would love to stay again and will tell friends and family to try it out.

We loved our stay - with an exception
We love the little community and the convenience of the pool. Would like to extend pool hours a little later and a little earlier in the day, we do understand the city noise ordinance though.
Our only real issue is we found a roach like bug crawling on our bed when we entered the room for the first time and the second morning there was another on the bathroom counter. I took pictures on my phone so I can't post them here. The A/C in room 5 had a hard time cooling the room during the day. We were able to work around those two issues though and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Fredericksburg.
We stayed in the Vicar Room #5. Exactly as pictured online. Nice newer modern type furniture. Small breakfast table set up in the room was nice touch. Bed was comfy, sheets very soft. Double sinks and nice large shower with good hot water and pressure. Single pod coffee maker with pods and creamer/sugar was nice. Also some dishes and utensils as well. Parking was easy. Took off one star for a few items. Multiple plugs needed work. My phone charger kept falling out of the one bedside. The electrical plug plate by the door was broken and needs replacing. While the heater in the bedroom worked fine it definitely doesn’t make it to the bathroom so prepare to freeze during the colder months. In addition to get to the room you have to maneuver around the pool area and all the furniture. We had about an 8” walkthrough between the pool and big patio umbrella base. I would be afraid of an older guest loosing balance and falling in the pool. There is really no reason they can’t move that big umbrella. Also beware if you like a quieter evening the pool will be noisy. Although the signs say 10pm there were people in the hot tub later than that and being loud. I would stay again but choose a different room away from the pool area.
