Great breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, different bread selections and really good coffee. I loved the pumpkin spiced English muffins! Staff with very friendly.

Das Zimmer ist von normaler Größe und es ist alles drin, was man so braucht: Micro, Fridge etc. Alles funktioniert und ist in gutem Zustand. Prima Dusche, mal so richtig mit Wasserdruck! WLAN ist auch gut. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit Warmanteil, 1x sogar frische Blaubeeren zum Joghurt! Und hier wird nichts in Kleinstportionierungen sondern lose geboten + Porzellanteller + Metallbesteck - super Müllvermeidung, was sehr ungewöhnlich und damit hervorzuheben ist. Es gibt auch einen warmen Indoor-Pool. Aufgrund der imensen Lautstärke der Filteranlage haben wir verzichtet. Nur ein kleines Manko: alle Weißwäsche hält sich zwischen grau und gelb auf und sollte mal erneuert werden. Zimmerreinigung war übrigens tadellos.

Vielen Dank für Ihre ausführlichen Kommentare. Beim Frühstück erlauben wir Ihnen, so wenig oder so viel zu nehmen, wie Sie wünschen. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind beige und sind neu.

The sheets in your our room were dirty. They had debris on the top sheet so we switched rooms and only one of the beds didn’t have debris. The toilet also didn’t work so we had to go into the tank to manually flush it.

Property has potential as a boutique hotel but appears unfinished. Room was clean and there was plenty of hot water for a nice long shower. Walking distance to local brewery for drinks and dinner. Courtyard is quite nice and can see it being a bonus space for a group booking. Observed property is pet friendly. Parking is not convenient to rooms overlooking the converted courtyard, no elevators, and ice was by request at the front desk. Conveniently out of ice when a small amount was requested prior to check out. Staff appears to enjoy their smoke breaks and were somewhat less welcoming than anticipated for a hotel trying to position itself as "boutique". Breakfast was mediocre at best although will give some credit for variety of offerings. Probably would have rated half star more had we not already experienced a true boutique property (at a better price) while visiting Silverton, Oregon.

The hotel is always clean and the staff is friendly. I enjoy walking to the river in the mornings to drink my coffee. There aren't many options to stay in Fortuna, but this is my choice every time.

First, the manager Alicia was amazing, they were immediately apologetic and understanding when we decided to not stay a second night due to the condition of our room. They made it very clear that the state of our room was unacceptable by their standards and that the housekeeping staff responsible would be talked to. That was the best part of our experience unfortunately, our rooms sheets were stained, had burn holes and there was clumps of hair on the shower wall. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned throughly.

Upon checkin I found the staff unprofessional. We had an issue with the reservation and needed help to resolve which was met with one employee badmouthing another. They did finally get the situation rectified but not before we heard all about the incompetence of the staff. One of our rooms smelled strongly of smoke which this is supposed to be a smoke free environment. The pool was nice for the kids. Breakfast was adequate but there was no milk for the cereal and no one present to help provide it. Overall just ok.

This is an old rustic hotel. It's a good deal for what you pay for. This is not for you if you prefer luxurious hotel. The walls are thin so you can hear people talking when they are loud inside their room and also when outside. The lady next to my room was talking on the phone and was really loud. Over all, it was quiet past 10 pm. The beds were comfortable. I recommend this to someone who is not picky.

The rooms were dirty, the beds were smaller than advertised, the fridge was missing legs, there was no clock in the room, and the plugs were loose so everything plugged in fell out. The bathroom was very small for the size of the room. The pictures of this place are misleading, it is a motel, not a hotel. The pool was quite small and the depth was mislabeled. The staff seemed like they were on drugs and were usually out right in front of the sliding door, chain smoking cigarettes. Breakfast was not as advertised and the homeless in the area were allowed to come in and eat the breakfast ahead of the guests. They have a small business center for guests, but it was locked out and the employees did not know how to get in so there was no using the printer/computer offered. They offer books and games to borrow.

For some reason (which I think spawned from the wonderful mural painting of the redwood in the pool area), the Redwood Riverwalk gave me a Twin Peaks-esque vibe, which I really appreciated. The personal was super sweet, and the vibe really chill.

This is an older property that has been lovingly updated with lots of special touches. There's a swimming pool. My recommendation will be to update the Linens and to have extra blankets so we don't have to keep the heat on at night.
