We had stayed at this hotel years ago, and remembered it as a family oriented, nice hotel. How times have changed this place. To begin, their internet service was so bad my Apple products would not allow my mail to populate my email due to their unsecured Wi-Fi. On the side of the building was a door that would not only not lock, it was stuck upon about 4 inches. Next to the door was rat traps. Fortunately we never saw a rat, but would not have been surprised as there was lots of trash in this stairwell.
Trash was also piled in the space where the ice machine was located on our floor. One of the reasons we booked at this hotel was that they advertised a hot tub. Upon arrival the hot tub was closed, sign said by the State of Florida. Why couldn’t they update their website to say this? We stayed 8 days and got room cleaning, towel change ONCE during our stay. Now to breakfast… we remember healthy breakfasts, with college teams staying there. This time, no college teams, breakfast was horrible.
A old waffle iron was heated , but we were told not to use it, as waffles will stick and you will have to scrape them out. Question, why put it out? The same offerings every morning, very limited choices. On a positive note, the staff was courteous, and the patrons were very nice. But I will not return to this Baymont ever again. It needs a renovation, and very soon.
