Sehr geschmackvoll möblierte und eingerichtete Unterkunft. Zentral am Hafen von Fort-de-France gelegen, ausgezeichnete Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in nächster Umgebung, kleiner Stadtstrand nach wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Fünf weitere schöne Badestrände nach kurzer Überfahrt (ca. 10 Min.) mit einem Boot erreichbar im Stunden- bzw. Halbstundentakt. Am Hafen und am Rande der Altstadt sind Busse zu Inselrundfahrten nutzbar. Linien in alle Inselteile möglich. Die Rezeption berät dazu. Verständigung auch mit vielen Einheimischen per Französisch oder auch Englisch möglich.. Direkt gegenüber des Hotels Fort Savane befinden sich am Rand des gleichnamigen Parkes gibt es jede Menge preiswerte open Air Restaurants und Bars mit ausgezeichnetem Speise- und Getränkeangebot, Eis, Kaffee und Kuchen, Cocktails u.a. Leider ist hier das Angebot an Drogen auch recht umfangreich. Nur an Sonntagen bleiben die vielen Geschäfte (bis auf Lebensmittel) und auch einige Gaststätten geschlossen. Ein Abendessen ist ab ca. 10 € erhältlich, eine Überfahrt zu einem Strand kostet 7 € pro Person, eine Busfahrt (hin und zurück) ca. 2,70 €. Benzin wie in Frankreich 1,60 €, Diesel teurer. Gute Busverbindung zum Flughafen, Haltestelle schräg gegenüber dem Hotel Fort Savane. Wegen des hohen Verkehrsaufkommens ist die Fahrt mit den Bussen (wegen spezieller Busspuren) oft schneller als im Miet-PKW).

Zentral und modern, perfekt für einen Kurztrip
Wir hatten eine Nacht im Fort Savane als Zwischenstopp vor unserem Heimflug. Das Hotel liegt perfekt zentral direkt am Park Savane und in der Nähe des Fährterminals. Es befindet sich alles in Laufdistanz, Restaurants, Shops, Strand. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und spricht aus gut Englisch und das Hotel ist noch sehr neu und modern eingerichtet. Für einen Kurztrip perfekt, da Fort-de-France selber jetzt nicht wirklich viel zu bieten hat.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung
Das Hotel liegt schön zentral am Park und der Hafen ist auch gleich um die Ecke, was sehr praktisch ist, wenn man von dort weiterreist. Leider ist es dadurch sehr laut. Das Zimmer ist sehr gut ausgestattet, leider hatten wir über der Badtür einen unschönen scharzen Schimmelfleck. Für eine Nacht war es in Ordnung!

Great walking distance to everything, the beach, the mall with a carrefour, bakeries, restaurants etc. Approximately 10 min. walking distance to the ferry terminal. Sweet receptionist. Great room, great size and super clean!

Best location to take ferries to other worthy spots - point du bout, Anse a l’âne et le bourg des 3 îlets. Apart from the ferries, everything else in the area is practically shut down on Saturday evenings, Sundays and holidays. Nothing to eat and nowhere to go. Best go to point du bout.

I probably should have done my research. This place has no pool, though there is a small beach nearby with no bathroom facilities. There was not always someone at the reception desk.

The location is in a lively area, right in the center of Fort de France. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The reception is closed during the night, but there is a phone number available to call the staff anytime, if needed. The free WiFi connection is good, but with some interruptions. The room is spacious and has a nice park view. The bed is large and comfortable. There is tea and coffee maker in the room. There are only French-speaking channels available on TV.
