I booked and paid through Expedia. When I checked in, I had to verify with my credit card. After checking out and checking my balance, I found that I was double-charged by Motel 6 (I already payed via Expedia).
I contacted Motel 6 support and the staff in Fort Collins directly. Other than the response that I should contact Expedia (???), there is no reaction regarding my requests for a refund. I definitely do not recommend this motel.
