Forestville 3SZ Redwood-Hütte mit Gaskamin, Feuerstelle & Terrasse

Summary:

Step through sliding glass doors onto your private deck surrounded by towering redwoods. This stylish 3-bedroom retreat sleeps 6 in mid-century elegance. Just half a mile to Sunset Beach and the Russian River. Downtown Forestville's tasting rooms and Burke's Canoe Trips are minutes away. End your wine country days grilling under the stars while the redwoods whisper overhead — this is why you came to Sonoma County.

The Space:

At the end of a dead-end Forestville street, this mid-century cabin backs into the redwoods with a projector TV inside, a fire pit outside, and a detached office plus a yoga room for the stay-a-while crowd. Three bedrooms sleep 6, a half mile from Sunset Beach on the Russian River.

A leather sectional anchors the heart of the home, the projector TV ready for movie nights while the gas fireplace flickers warmth into the room. Grand sliding glass doors open to the redwood deck, making the forest feel like an extension of the living space — board games and good books wait for cooler evenings. The full kitchen is built for wine country cooking with modern appliances and ample counter space, the dining area pulling the group together after a day on Forestville's tasting trail.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Your private outdoor oasis unfolds across a generous redwood deck sheltered by towering trees. Fire up the gas grill for al fresco dining beneath the canopy, then migrate to the fire pit as stars emerge overhead. A detached office space with sofa and desk gives remote workers a quiet sanctuary, while a separate retreat room outfitted with yoga mats, a lounging chaise, and games opens onto its own semi-private deck with garden views — the kind of bonus space that makes you extend your stay.

FORESTVILLE'S RIVER-AND-WINE MIX

Sam's Market covers provisions 0.3 miles away, Russian River Pub pours 0.8 miles out, and Gary Farrell's hilltop tasting room sits 1.8 miles up Westside Road with Korbel's sparkling cellars at 2.0. Burke's Canoe Trips launches its classic ten-mile float from downtown, and the WiFi runs 320 Mbps when work follows you into the forest.

The first bedroom offers a queen bed in a peaceful setting, while the second bedroom features another queen bed framed by forest views. The Neighborhood:

Your redwood retreat sits at the end of a peaceful dead-end street in Forestville, where wine country meets river recreation. Walk just half a mile to Sunset Beach (0.5 mi) for swimming and picnicking, or head to nearby Forestville River Access (0.3 mi) for a quieter spot along the Russian River. Stock up on essentials at Sam's Market (0.3 mi), your closest grocery option. Forestville's emerging food and wine scene puts you minutes from acclaimed wineries. Gary Farrell Vineyards (1.8 mi) offers panoramic valley views, while Korbel Winery (2.0 mi) specializes in sparkling wines. Downtown Forestville hosts intimate tasting rooms like Porter Creek Vineyards (2.2 mi) and Thomas George Estates (2.9 mi). For dining, the legendary Farmhouse Inn Restaurant sits just minutes away, while casual options include Russian River Pub (0.8 mi) and Sonoma Pizza Co. (3.3 mi). Launch a canoe trip with Burke's from downtown Forestville, or explore miles of trails at Steelhead Beach Regional Park (1.8 mi).

Getting Around:

Forestville is about 80 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a mellow drive through vineyards and rolling hills. A car is essential for exploring Forestville and the Russian River Valley — your driveway accommodates two vehicles with an EV charger available in the garage upon request. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it.
