Great place
A nice weekend getaway, great to walk the dogs down to the beach, this A frame has a great simple and cozy feel and a very comfy bed. Had a lot of fun listening to tapes and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the privacy the trees on the property provided. The bed in the loft was comfortable, but the sleeping areas provided downstairs were not ideal. A thin pad on plywood benches. A very dog friendly beach was a short walk away. Overall it was a great experience for the cost.

Not enough heat
The heater is not capable of warming the place to a comfortable level. All the furniture and floor were too cold for comfort, and using the bathroom was like going into a walk-in cooler. Only the bedroom loft got warmish.

The heater thermostat was replaced right after you reported this, so sorry, it's rated to heat the whole house and normally does.

This was such a unique experience, and it made my trip to Oregon extra special. The walk to the beach was so easy I was able to go down there every day to relax and enjoy the sunset, even after a full day of working and seeing other sites. Plus the rental company was so friendly when I had questions. I would definitely stay there again.

Small A frame .with late 60s early 70s theme. Would not recommend it for people with problems climbing steep stairs. Close to beach (nice hike) and well within a nice bile ride to old town and food.

It Was OK
This is a very old, small A-frame cabin with a ladder to a loft that has a bed. If you can’t climb stairs, keep looking. This cabin kept us dry and warm, the kitchen was useable, and the bathroom was functional. The wi-fi was excellent. The owner/manager was very nice and available.

This cute little A frame cabin looks so 1970's but in a really good way. Tucked back in the trees, it feels very cozy and secluded. Just a few short blocks to the beach.

This is a fun stay in a bygone decade - namely the 70’s. The location is wonderful. We spent time on the sunny quiet deck watching birds and squirrels and listening to the ocean waves. It’s a short walk to the beach. My only complaint is after 2 days I was in need of a comfortable lounge chair.

Loved being close to the beach
The cabin was super-clean, which I really appreciated. Many beach houses I have stayed in smelled moldy, but not this one. Everything smelled fresh and clean. My only concern was feeling cold the first night. I did not realize I could adjust the wall heater, and I woke up shivering. I was able to find another comforter and turn up the heater so that I slept comfortably the last two nights.

Would stay here again!
This home was tucked into a nice private corner, in a neighborhood, surrounded by trees and bushes. The beach was a short walk. The wall heaters are pretty old but effective. The 1960's vibe was fun but if you have high expectations for shiny new spaces, this is not for you. We loved it and only wished that it had a hot tub! We will be back. Great affordable getaway and simple check-in/out instructions.

Wonderful vacation at the beach
This is a fantastic location for easy beach access, neighborhood is peaceful and quiet when you want it. Beach is less than 5 min walk down the street. Kitchen is very well stocked with just about any utensil you need. Grill in storage shed for great BBQ off the porch. Cozy cabin, with Brady Bunch nostalgia. Owner responds immediately to any queries and is very personable. We enjoyed the bottle of wine she left for us, a very nice touch. Close to beach, rivers, lakes, shopping and groceries. We had a GREAT stay. Wonderful little A frame. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here if we come to Florence again!

A week in Florence
The Anchor's Away cabin was great for our week in Florence. It is in a really quiet part of town and all the plants around the cabin make it very private. It is a quick walk to the beach. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Our only complaint was the bed was hard. But overall it was a great place to stay.

Perfect location to get away for a few days
My husband, 5 year old daughter and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at this house. It's small, but we loved the retro style and it was super comfy for us. It was very pleasant riding our bikes to the beach a few blocks away and around the low-traffic roads. We would absolutely stay again if we're in the area.

Pros to staying here,: -the owner was very nice and left us a bottle of wine. - check in was easy - the cottage is all done in a 70's style complete with a shag rug up in the loft. Cons: -I had to wash the dishes before we could you them, several seemed to have grease on them. - we did not use the pans yhey appeared very dirty. - the shelves were quite dusty and the blankets that were left for the little twin beds smelled terrible.. As I said the owner is very sweet, however they need better housekeeping.

Nice get away
Nice little spot. At night you could hear the ocean through the open windows. It is a old place but has been kept very clean. We enjoyed the retro vibe. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and eating needs. There was a slight musty smell when we arrived but once we cracked a window the odor was gone.

Retro cabin with lots of orange and brown.
My gf and I stayed Sunday-Thur. Beach access was a short walk, or a very quick 2min drive. The cabin is fairly secluded and shrouded with bushes giving us privacy. There were extra items in the shed.. kites, chairs etc. The down stairs had a small but very usable kitchen, 2 bench/beds a couple swivel recliners and a dining room table with chairs. The upstairs was big enough to fit a dresser and a twin bed. The decoration was a retro brown and orange color that reminesced me and my girlfriend back to the 70’s, which we both liked! The place is awesome and we will definitely consider this cabin again for us! Leslie was very responsive and was a pleasure to talk too! The house fit 2 people nicely, but I wouldn’t push it over 4. Thanks for the stay!!

Perfect Beach Getaway !
We lived staying in this funky little home. The vide is very relaxing & homey. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots & pans, making it easy to have dinner in. There were also lots of board games & puzzles. The only things that could be improved (very minor) the shower head is quite low for anyone over 5 ft (works great for me, a 5 ft human but not for my 6 ft 4in partner.) Additionally, the bathroom door requires a bit of elbow greese to get open. Overall this was the perfect home for us for a calm weekend getaway. Would recommend to anyone coming through Florence. Excellent Getaway!
The A-frame is a great little spot, close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Feels like you're stepping back in time inside, but with modern amenities if you want them. Great wraparound deck and a comfy bed! Recommended!

A place with a good energy plus everything you need

Quiet and unique A-frame by the beach
Such an awesome and relaxing place! Quiet location with quick beach access and a short drive away from town. Had everything we needed, but we would bring our own vinyl in order to enjoy the record player next time. The owners were wonderful and put together an amazingly helpful and organized binder on everything to do and see around the area. This place is so loved and it makes it truly feel like a home away from home ❤
