Our stay at Silver Linings on Cloud 9 farm was truly special and exceptional. Not only was Janet a top notch host from the perspective of the house, everything provided there, communication, and all the information we might need, but she also made it a really special week for our kids. She let them help her with farm chores, feed chickens, and holding baby bunnies. They loved it! They fished, they fed cows, they ran free. The house was plenty of space for our family of five. The kitchen had everything we needed (and I cooked 5 dinners there!), and it felt clean, well organized, and well decorated. We loved the back porch, the swing under the deck, the space in the basement with bunk beds, foosball and air hockey for the kids to play. We also loved the walking trails and the farm in general. It was just a really nice retreat from our lives in suburbia. It was about a 20 minute drive to all things Asheville, with a couple grocery stores and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. You do need to know ahead of time that the basement with the bunk beds can not be accessed from upstairs. You have to walk up the outside stairs to get to the main floor, so I wouldn’t put little kids down there who might call for parents in the middle of the night. We left a cell phone with our teenage daughter just in case something came up and it was fine. As we were pulling away from this trip, my husband and I felt refreshed, and the kids all begged to return someday! Thank you Janet!!
