We booked here last minute, needing a place on short notice with two beds. The staff was soooo kind, but the place was quirky. You had to ask for simple amenities like ice, coffee and the morning Kringle. That made it feel like you were staying at the home of someone who was kind of stingy. You go to a window (not open until 8:00 a.m.) and they hand you a tiny portion of coffee, Kringle or ice.
Bikes were free to ride (no helmets), but also had a lot of rules (sign up in advance, etc.). We didn’t use them.
There were more rules about how to leave the sheets and towels (all Covid precautions), but at $200/night, it felt very overdone. A window in our room was cracked. The bathroom sink drained ever so slowly. The smoke alarm in our room went off for no reason and wouldn’t turn off. It was only at 9:15, but after a long day, we’d just fallen asleep. After a call to management, a very nice person arrived after about 25 minutes and was so kind (thank goodness the blaring had stopped). For a place so safety conscious about cleaning…the smoke alarm last had attention in 2008 according to what the staff member said. Just a quirky place overall. Likely would not stay again.
