Our guests receive the before arrival text that explained how to check in. My guess it you were the person who came without a reservation and late at night. We booked for you anyway, even though we have a 3 night minimum. Our office window is well marked and there are no spots for extra people to park in my the rooms. I am so sorry this was difficult for you. I should probably not accept late night walk ins, but I was concerned that you would be stranded.

Thank you for your review. Although it is older, Ron who taught construction in public schools has spent 23 years restoring it but keeping the historical value. Just to clarify: This is a busy corner but not all the time. That is why it is great access to all of Door County. After 6 or 7:00 it is usually very quiet and that is why so many people who used to stay if the busy towns love it here. In town there can be night noises quite late they tell me. The airport is small and there are no large planes and not much air traffic at night. Thanks again for your comments.

Jamie did not tell us any reason why they were unhappy. I will guess that they might have been looking for a modern, cookie cutter condo place to stay. The owner has taught construction for many years and we try to preserve the historical value. When all the drywall and insulation was removed, we tried to replace it as it originally looked with new. The restrooms are small. Our staff is exceptional with helping guests when they come for complimentary coffee and when they check in and and also with not just cleaning, but also disinfecting so there cannot be insects or covid on arrival. We continually try to improve, so I wish I had details about why they were critical.

I am sorry we are not aware of suggestions for improvement and would appreciate your thoughts about how we could have improved your stay.

Hi JeffreyI am so sorry Parkview was not as you expected. Would you please email me to let us know what your concerns are so we can improve it. We have tried very hard to continue to improve it for the past 23 years without destroying the historical ambiance of the motel idea from Arizona. We have removed and replaced all the drywall and old insulation, the flooring and have new mattresses. We have exceptional housekeepers who wash all bedding and steam clean so we cannot have insects or viruses. We do not allow staff to inadvertently take viruses from room to room. We have many amenities that most people love. For us, a 2 and saying it is poor means we still have a lot of work to do and would appreciate your suggestions.

We are sorry you did not take time to enjoy our amenities such as the fair trade organic coffee, complimentary bikes and lounging by the large outdoor heated pool. We appreciate guest suggestions for more comfortable rooms, such as sleeping, but most want to know where we purchased the exceptional mattresses because they slept so well here. Most people also comment on how they value our policies, such as the cleaning and disinfecting that our housekeepers do that prevents viruses and insects from ever getting into the rooms. We hope you had a great time in Door County--there is so much to see and do.

There are some very nice places in Door County that do serve full breakfasts. We have never advertised that we do. We have delicious Blue Horse fair trade organic coffee and kringle to jumpstart the day. It is a chance to meet guests and offer suggestions if they ask. We have many people who stay here who used to stay in the towns and villages because it is so quiet here -- with very little road noise after 8:00. They say the villages can be noisy late at night. The showers are small and we will not change that. It is part of the historical ambiance -- the second owner said it was the first motel in Wisconsin and the first owner brought the idea from Arizona and called it Enchanteau. The central location and being across from Peninsula State Park is part of what makes this place loved by many. We heat the pool to 80 degrees so I am not sure why it might have been cold when you were here. Sorry, we did not hear any complaints and the furnace has a digital thermometer. I am a life guard and know that anything above that temperature can be open to many problems. There are some really wonderful bed and breakfasts in Door County, but that is not what we are about. So sorry.

We are so sorry this did not work for you. On the sheet we gave you on arrival, we asked you to let us know if anything is not right. You did not let us know until you left. We had the refrigerator replaced in two hours with a new one. We would have done that for you. Part of the value is the historical. We could have torn it down and built new because the owner taught construction, but most guest love the old fashioned feel and one said they do not want to stay in a cookie cutter condo. Personally I enjoy both. Thank you for emptying the dehumidifier. It prevents mold from growing. It only has to be emptied daily if the weather is very hot and humid as it was when you were here. My husband would have emptied the humidifier if you let us know it was OK to enter your room.Thank you so much for the comments so we could replace refer for the next guest.

We booked here last minute, needing a place on short notice with two beds. We are happy you found a place at the last minute. We rarely allow a 1 night reservation because we have many amenities for a longer stay in a smaller lodging facility, including a great central location for seeing Northern Door County. We sent you information in advance and provided information on arrival that explained that we do not have a complimentary breakfast. We do not limit the amount of complimentary fair trade organic coffee and kringle. We enjoy helping guests learn about Door County at that time. Bags of ice is an amenity, but our machine is a model that cannot legally be available to guests. A time to ride our complimentary bicycles can be reserved between 8 and 5. They are 21 speed bicycles and our policies keep them nice. We do not have equipment to sterilize helmets so we inform guests before arrival if they want to bring their own. Most people love the amount of cleaning and disinfecting we do and often tip our amazing staff extra. Your room was not 200 per night, but there are state and local taxes and internet co. online booking fees. The battery in your alarm and all alarms were replaced in May and had nothing to do with the age of the alarm. Our fire inspector keeps everything current. Your battery failed. Sorry for your inconvenience.

They do not clean one room at a time, but each has their job in each room. We are sorry that this did not work for you and you arrived at a time the office was closed. Our new office staff made the error and accidentally double booked. We should have cancelled. However, instead of a room, for the same rate we offered a large high end suite and a two bedroom cottage for one night each because of difficulties at another lodging. I am sorry you were inconvenienced by the move.
