The cabin is rustic as described but the kitchen, shower, and outhouse facilities are convienient. Mike is a great host, very helpful and good for some great tips on fishing spots. Supplies are only about a few miles away if needed. A peaceful spot near some great fishing, I will be back!“

„When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees.
