„Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.“

„We and our Red Setter had really three wonderful weeks in The Apple Store. Thanks for that. Everything you need is in place and we enjoyed walking in The Doward and down to the Wye river. We only can highly recommend The Apple Store. There are some many aweful place around to visit and most impressive the west coast of Wales, the Black Mountains and for sure Bristol ... “

„Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.“

The local pubs were good value and staff very accommodating lThe cottage itself was very clean and had all you would require for a short stay.“
