"I had a very good time in the hotel, the staff was nice and accommodating"

"The property is not in a good condition (the wallpaper with some water stains, ripped off etc.) but for the price it was acceptable. The housekeeping was not very efficient, staying over a week my shower and sink etc never got cleaned and the room not hovered once. Toiletries and fresh towels were often forgotten. My stay was alright for the price but I wouldn’t like to come back."

"The Roebuck was a delight, but you have to bring a sense of Humor! We have enjoyed every minute of our stay. Rooms are sufficient for the age the building has. The fun part was the Monty Python alike service in the bar: Q: I would like to order a non-alcohol beer A: This is the last bottle Q: When the alcohol free beer is out, could I have the Torres alcohol free wine, please? A: We ran out of that, but we do have non-alcoholic Prosecco. Q: I’ll take that The bartender disappears and returns with tears in his eyes…. A: We ran out of that as well. (Later a box was found and I could have the bubbles) Q: We would like to order some food, please. Could we have the Share Platter with Camembert? The bartender flips into a state of total distress….. A: We don’t have any Camembert left. We settled for the sharing platter with fries instead of the cheese and gave the poor chap a big tip because he was so nice and friendly. The rest of our stay, I emptied the box of Prosecco and all food was available, but this first night in the bar we will never forget. We will return! Very positive: all door handles on the 1st floor are on wheelchair height. Negative: there is no elevator to reach the 1st floor rooms with a wheelchair. We already made jokes about the “Midget Mansion”, but I expect the door handles were placed that low based on the age of the building. "

"Sauberes, großes Zimmer. Freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Vom Hotel gab es Parktickets für 2£, die für die direkte Parkzone um das Hotel für einen Tag gültig sind. Fast direkt an der Promenade, viele Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Stadtzentrum fußläufig zu erreichen. Im Zimmer gab es leider keinen Kleiderschrank noch anderweitige Ablagemöglichkeiten. Die Türen wurden oft zugeknallt, da sie ein wenig schwer zu schließen waren."

"Wir waren enttäuscht. Es gab weder einen Room Service noch House Keeping. Das heißt, das Zimmer wurde kein einziges mal gereinigt! Zudem war es überteuert. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!"
