„We loved our stay at Kandy Shady Trees thanks to the very welcoming and accommodating nature of our hosts. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable and breakfast was fresh and substantial. The location is up a steep hill (we took a tuk tuk up and down it) but could be walked. „Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak.“

„House is in a quiet location away from crowds. Considering the ugly housing situation in SL, I greatly appreciate the privacy this house has to offer. Nice garden and the view of Hantana mountains. House is spacious and clean. I would stay again. On the downside, kitchen is quipped with the cheapest of cheap flimsy stuff. If you enjoy cooking, forget about the kitchen. Hope, some day owners would upgrade kitchen. Overall, this is a good place to stay in Sri Lanka.“

"We liked the view from our room to the city centre of Kandy. Beds were really cozy and the bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly and tried to help us the whole stay long. Nevertheless I need to say that the room was poorly soundproofed. We were able to hear the sound of the mosque for praying a couple of times per day (starting 5 am in the morning!). I know this is a cultural thing, but the room could still be more isolated. Additionally the furnishing was quite old and the wallpaper came off. An extra problem was that directly on the first day someone burst into the room without knocking. This is not acceptable at all! "
