Close to the Beach
We stayed for 10 days with our 3 daughters. When we walked into the unit, there were dirty paper towels on the floor. We also enter through the bedroom with the two double beds, so it was not ideal. Our oldest daughter stayed in that room, so we were nervous because we donât like a main entry point to any of our kidsâ rooms. Unfortunately, the house was not very clean. There was dust on almost every surface of the bedrooms (table, dresser corners), and dirt under the beds and corners of the rooms. It didnât feel very clean and the sheets smelled like the cleaners used a lot of bleach in the wash. I washed the sheets after a day with the detergent to get it cleaner. When I went to use the dishes, there was moldy food stuck inside a bowl, some debris in a couple other bowls/plates, and I found a live bug walking around the cabinet with the plastic bowls and cups. Overall, cleanliness is a 2 star for me. The house is located on a busy road right across from the Amtrak, so youâll hear the train coming through often. Even though the house was close to the beach, we never walked there so we still had to find parking each time (can be a headache because of the amount of people). There is no sidewalk on Vulcan and itâs a busy road, so it can be sketchy walking to the stoplight. The hot tub was very confusing to operate. We finally figured it out on day 2/3. The spa water also smelled like straight chlorine and made my skin itch. This is a cool house with no kids, but not with kids.
