  • Located on Leonard Lake, this 2BR waterfront retreat is the ideal choice for a tranquil getaway. Nestled on a 1.5-acre wooded lot, your vacation rental has a private dock for fishing and swimming, a firepit, and a gas grill. With stunning sunsets from the dock and amazing views from within the home, you find yourself surrounded by quiet while within the city. A perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

    When you want to explore, downtown Ellsworth is 5 minutes away, while Acadia National Park is 30 minutes from home.

Everything about our stay was top notch. The house was absolutely perfect for us. Extremely clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a quiet week at the lake. Definitely would rent this same property again the next time we visit maine!

Great 2 bedroom house right on Leonard Lake. We had everything we needed and more, the hosts clearly thought about all the little details. Two kayaks waiting on a private dock were the highlight. It's a 30–40 minute drive to Bar Harbor, which made it an easy base for Acadia. Highly recommend!

Great stay for family of 4 (2 teenagers, twin beds were a must)! The home was clean, the beds were very comfy and the views were wonderful. We loved using the kayaks on the peaceful lake. We cooked s’mores in the fire pit. We came to hike Acadia and this home was central to hiking and close to Bar Harbor for dining and shopping. We were so lucky to find this hidden gem and not have to go to a hotel in a busy area. We are hoping to book again next year!

This property was fantastic. Exactly what is listed, the home is clean and well looked after. We didn’t need to communicate with the host because everything was well laid out and in working order. The water view is unbeatable, the quiet area was exactly what we were looking for. Check out was a very simple process, they didn’t expect us to do bedding laundry or be housekeeping in the morning. All of the beds were comfortable and the space was exactly what was pictured in the website.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts had thought of everything - plenty of kitchenware, kayaks and life jackets, a regular coffee maker and a Keurig, hair dryer - you name it! They had a very organized binder with detailed descriptions of their restaurant and shopping recommendations! We could pick the perfect spot for our preferences. It is clear they put a lot of thought into making our stay hassle free. The view was beautiful and it is very close to downtown Ellsworth. The place was recently renovated - a great blend of modern and cozy. I highly recommend!

First, let me say we absolutely loved this home! It was even more beautiful in person than the photos suggested. The decor was charming, and it was clear that so much thought and care had gone into making every part of the home comfortable and welcoming.The lake was absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, scenic, and everything we had hoped for. The house was spotless, incredibly well stocked, and perfect for our family. Even during a heat wave, it stayed cool and comfortable. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and we appreciated the great selection of DVDs for relaxing in the evenings or on rainy days.The location was ideal for exploring the area, with easy drives to Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and the charming downtown area of Ellsworth. We also loved that the hosts provided a book of local recommendations, which helped us discover some wonderful places.The hosts were fantastic from start to finish and made everything easy. They truly helped make our trip to Maine unforgettable. We would happily stay here again!

Perfect Little Lake House

This location is perfect for daily trips to Acadia and surrounding towns. Nearby grocery and quaint little town. Highly recommend for a stay in Maine.
