A six-person sauna on the property, a king suite with its own bathroom and private patio, and your own fire pit. After a day of hiking or adventures on the river, come relax your weary muscles in the sauna. The king suite, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room with a pack-and-play sleep eight in a modern black cabin on 6.7 wooded acres, about two hours from the city, ten minutes from the Delaware River and close to Bethel Woods and Narrowsburg.

Ash Cottage sleeps eight across three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The open living room has a deep sectional, forest and stream views and a Roku smart TV, with games and a cocktail kit for the evenings.
The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances, cookware and everyday essentials, plus a pour-over coffee setup: Fellow Opus burr grinder, gooseneck kettle, V60 and scale.
Bedroom 1: king bed, en suite full bathroom, and a private patio with forest views.
Bedroom 2: queen bed, forest-facing window.
Bedroom 3: two bunk beds, four twin sleeping spaces, and a pack-and-play.
Every bedroom has a new memory foam mattress, blackout curtains, and its own remote-controlled heat and air conditioning. There is a washer and dryer in the house.
The six-person sauna sits between Ash Cottage and Elm House. When only your house is booked it is yours; when the neighboring house is also booked it is shared, and our team will set up evening slots for each group before you arrive.

Check-in is self-guided. We send your door code before you arrive, and the path and driveway lights come on at dusk. Your parking is at the top of the driveway by your fire pit: keep going straight rather than turning left.
The whole cottage is yours: every room, the kitchen, the laundry, the private patio off the king suite, and your decks, fire pit and seating. The sauna between the houses is yours when Elm House is empty; when both houses are booked, we set up evening sauna slots for each group before you arrive. Elm House may host another group. Eldred sits in the Upper Delaware corridor of Sullivan County, about two hours from Manhattan. The Delaware River is ten minutes away at Barryville, with canoe and tube rentals through mid-October and the Hawk`s Nest drive on Route 97 for foliage. Bethel Woods, on the original Woodstock site, is about 25 minutes away with a museum, concerts and seasonal festivals. Narrowsburg`s Main Street has restaurants, a coffee shop and a theater; Callicoon has a cidery and a small movie house. Eldred Preserve, five minutes away, has a restaurant and fishing ponds. In winter, bald eagles gather along the river and reservoirs, and Ski Big Bear is about fifteen minutes away.

A car is recommended for getting around the area.

During winter months, roads and driveways may become snow-covered. The driveway is regularly plowed, but AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended during heavier snowstorms.

The property is quiet and wooded; you will see wildlife, hear the forest, and meet the occasional bug.
No pets and no events. Maximum eight guests.
Ring floodlight cameras face the driveway and front entry. There are no cameras inside or in the private outdoor areas.
The driveway is plowed in winter; we recommend all-wheel drive in a snowstorm.
No parties or events. Ash House is intended for quiet, respectful stays only.

Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No outside visitors without prior approval.

No pets. Ash House is a fully pet-free home — a perk for guests with allergies and anyone who prefers a dander-free, exceptionally clean environment.

No shoes inside the home. Ash House is a no-shoe household — this ensures that the indoor spaces are cleaner, cozier, and more comfortable for everyone. We recommend bringing your favorite slippers from home, and a shoe mat is provided at the entrance for convenience.

No smoking or vaping inside the home.

Fire-pit use: Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before going inside.

Winter stays: Please keep all windows and doors closed and locked to maintain heat and keep the cold air out.

Security cameras: Ring floodlight cameras face the driveway and entry for safety. There are no cameras inside the home or in private outdoor spaces.

Respect the natural setting. Please do not feed wildlife and keep doors closed to prevent critters from entering.

Please clean up food and spills promptly to help maintain the home and avoid wildlife attraction.

Please observe the check-out time unless previously arranged. Our cleaning team works on a fixed schedule.
