„We spent seven full nights at Portofino and it was truly serene. Three things stood out: 1) The staff. Our servers E and A were truly amazing. Sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was more entertaining than a negative. As a US resident visiting a foreign country I don't expect our hosts to automatically speak english and it was actually more authentic to wade through some back and forth. „This is an outstanding facility in a secluded location. The design of the hotel is giving you the feeling of being in a dream. The personnel is extremely service oriented. Yet very professional, and keep a healthy distance to the clients. The pools are beautiful. Unfortunately, -although we did not move out for a second out of the hotel over the 5 days we spent in Ixtapa - my partner and I got very sick on the last day, and worse on the way back to Europe. „This is our new favorite place to stay and we’ve been going to Zihua for 14years. This is not a hotel, it’s a private condo within walking distance to some of the best area restaurants. The beach is right downstairs and the views are incredible. Luis is always on time to meet us and the housekeeping staff is amazing. Your master bed looks out over the ocean and is private while offering amazing views. The pool on the roof top is another plus and we usually have it all to ourselves- “

„We are not resort types but this one is the best of both worlds. You can participate in activities and eat there, but you are not forces and nice beach restaurants and others are just a few minutes away. The whole place is in top shape and exceptionally nice. Staff throughout amazing and good in English. “
