Auf unserer Rundreise waren wir eine Nacht im Hotel. Wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf den See. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Egilsstaðir. Den Spa-Bereich konnten wir leider nicht nutzen. Beim Frühstück war es recht voll.

Älteres gemütliches Hotel
In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Personal schien überfordert, da die selbe Person den Service und die Reception machen musste. Essen war sehr gut und auch das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Die Lage vom Hotel ist auch cool wenn man den Frieden will und etwas Natur um sich haben will.

Tolles großes Hotel, Top Lage, Sauber, Freundlich
Große Hotelanlage, Anbau ist sehr modern gehalten, schöne große moderne ausgestattete Zimmer, modernes Bad, alles überall sehr sauber, Check In und sämtliches Personal waren sehr freundlich, haben beim Check In ein Upgrade auf Superior Room bekommen, Spa und Pool sind im alten Teil der Anlage, einige Reisebusse ( ja auch noch Ende September), Frühstück war TipTop und reichhaltig und große Auswahl am Buffett, auch für Veganer, LactoVeganer usw wird etwas angeboten. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen !!!

Very nice view and super helpful staff
Excellent view of the lake. Superior room is absolute worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff. The "slow cooked" lamb shank in the restaurant took only 5 minutes, but still tasted amazing.

Zwei kleine Mankos: Zimmer war bei Ankunft extrem warm. Vorhänge hätten zugezogen werden müssen. Wir hatte ein Dreierzimmer. Grosse Fensterfront, aber nur ein kleines Fenster zum halb öffnen. Dadurch die Wärme nicht herausgebracht!

I stayed her for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. It is about a 20 minutes drive from Egilsstaðir and nice and quiet location near the lake. Comfortable room for a solo traveler. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Breakfast staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. Reasonably priced when I stayed there. Would stay there again for sure.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was great. Was able to view the northern lights from the balcony. The food at the restaurant was also pretty good. Checking in wasn’t that good, we paid for a superior room but did not get one and had to go back to the reception to get it changed (we did remind the person at the reception when checking in though).

Quiet, beautiful and comfy.
The staff was very accommodating with a late check-in which was much appreciated. Great bathroom setup. The window in the room is tiny (like in most hotels in Iceland) so it was really hot as there was no wind whatsoever.

Beautiful Wooded Area
We arrived just before 9pm and thankfully the restaurant Kol Bar&Bistro and dinner buffet downstairs were still open until 10pm. The male waiter made it clear he wanted us to check out the dinner buffet downstairs but I’m glad we didn’t because the seafood pasta at Kol Bar&Bistro was delicious !! The room was clean and the lobby area was really welcoming. The receptionists both during the evening and morning were very sweet and helpful! Beautiful area!! I was sad we had to get going because they have a lot to do around that area, definitely a place to spend a couple nights going hiking, ATV tours etc,

Rigtig fint hotel i utroligt smukke omgivelser. En stor del af gæsterne var med busser og lidt ældre. Det eneste jeg ville lave om er gardinerne på værelserne, da der ikke kunne blive bare nogenlunde mørkt, men det sagt så var der intet andet at sætte en finger på.

Nice overall but avoid the dinner buffet
The hotel was very clean and spacious and the had a nice breakfast and we all quite enjoyed it. However, the dinner buffet was quite poor quality and it seemed as if everything had been left out for a very long time and that part of it is NOT worth it. Expensive horrible dinner aside the hotel itself was very nice.

This hotel was one of the best and cleanest during our 15 day holiday in Iceland and the only hotel where tables in the breakfast room were disinfected after each customer (kind of important during COVID). Also, we would like to thank your staff member - nice Beatriz, who works at the front desk for being super helpful and making our stay very pleasant!
