Bags of character and loads of room. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
The house seems like it had previously been occupied by an elderly relative with Victorian tastes, but has been modernised without losing the character. Some of the updates have been done a bit cheaply, but mostly it has been tastefuly, well done. Overall a great guesthouse.

Relaxed place to stay
Amazing apartments (two). Great owners. Wonderful beds and living area. Really makes you feel at home. Very secure and safe. Great for Solo and groups.

Terrible Service!!!
My experience with this place was horrific. I made a reservation online and it was confirmed. After 6 hours drive and coming to run the comrades ultra-marathon the following day you don't need stress on your plate. My friend and I arrived at the Soul House apartments just after 3pm and we were greeted with silence. I parked at the game and was hoping someone would open the gate for us, so I ended ended up hooting hoping I would draw someone's attention. I hooted twice then tried the intercom which took me to voice mail. I called the number on reservation receipt, that too went to voice mail. So we decided to wait at the gate. After about 30 min a lady drove and parked behind us. She hooted and after several minutes a guy who seemed like the caretaker opened the gates. I went to chat with this guy and showed him my reservation - he just told me there are people already occupying the rooms. I asked him to call the people running the place. He asked to call from my phone since he didn't have airtime. LOL. After a few minutes he came back to me and told me there's nothing much he can do since there's people who came before me. The people running the place are so inconsiderate and rude. The lady who seemed to be the owner didn't even talk to me, she just left. Nobody has called to explained why such happened. I ended having to pay twice the price of what I budgeted for. Very inconsiderate and rude. And again you don't refer guests as black/white people - they are just guests.
