I have to politely disagree with the ratings for this house. While it is beautiful, there are several significant downsides. There is no safe way to access the water from the pier. The ladder did not reach the water, was in two pieces, and came with no instructions. Fishing line was also strung across the pier at neck height, creating a serious hazard. I contacted the owner, who came to clean it up after our arrival.A machine attached to the mattress under the primary bedroom bed made strange noises at night, with no explanation provided. The stairs are extremely steep, making access to the third floor difficult and unsafe for anyone with mobility issues. The garage bedroom is also isolated from the rest of the house and feels more like a separate basement room, so it may not be ideal for a seventh or eighth guest. Finally, although I understand the no-party rule, the 14-person limit made it stressful to have family/friends visit, requiring me to monitor the number of people coming and going. I had a bride staying with me (wedding elsewhere) and couldn't have people come over to say hi because of this rule. The house is aesthetically beautiful, but these issues significantly affected our stay.
