Wir waren nun bereits zum zweiten Mal im Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai für eine Woche Urlaub. Es hatte uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Ein tolles Hotel mit einem ausserordentlich freundlichem Personal. Die Lage ist für einen Stadturlaub Dubai perfekt gelegen, 600 m bis zur nächsten Metro Station. Das Frühstück hat eine wunderbare Auswahl, die Restaurants im Hotel (Hoi An und Shang Palace) sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. An das Hotel angegliedert ist die Ikandy Lounge mit kleinem, aber schönen Pool mit Blick auf den Burj Khalifa. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Das Hotelpersonal ist überaus freundlich und serviceorientiert. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Die Aussicht auf die Stadt ist fantastisch, die Zimmer sind geräumig mit überaus bequemen Betten und grossem Badezimmer. Nicht das modernste aber dafür ein sehr gepflegtes und sauberes Hotel mit schönem Pool. Liegt nahe zur Metro und im Umfeld sind kleine Geschäfte und Restaurants. Ich würde immer wieder hier übernachten.

Uns hat es im Hotel sehr gefallen, das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Ausstattung war den Sternen entsprechend, das haben wir in anderen gleichwertigen Hotels schon anders erlebt. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen fantastischen Blick! Wer Dubai einen Besuch abstatten und eine ordentliche Unterkunft sucht, die zentral zu den bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten liegt, mit der Metro und den Öffentlichen gut zu erreichen ist, der wird definitiv hier fündig. Kostenloses Valet-Parking gibt es auch, wer mit dem Mietwagen anreist. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Shangri-La eben!
Da wir bereits einige Shangri-La Hotels in verschiedenen Ländern besucht haben, haben wir uns bewußt für dieses Hotel entscheiden. Und wie bereits erwartet war dies wieder ein Volltreffer. Schon wenn sich vor einem die Eingangstür des Hotel öffnet hat man das Gefühl angekommen zu sein! Dieses Gefühl trägt einen durch den gesamten Aufenthalt. Wir hatten uns für die Buchung des Clubs entschieden und dies ist natürlich noch einmal ein Highlight. Gerade in einer teuren Stadt wie Dubai sollten man diese Mehrkosten einmal in Relation setzen. Wir sind wie immer begeistert von der Philosophie der Shangri-La Hotels. Der Zustand des Hotels, die Zimmer, der Komfort, das Essen sind auf höchstem Niveau. Das Personal ist bestens ausgebildet und dezent freundlich wenn nicht sogar familiär. Jeder Wunsch wird erst genommen und erfüllt. Man gibt dem Gast das Gefühl ein gerne gesehener und hochgeschätzter Freund zu sein.

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber dennoch sehr gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Fruehstueck bietet eine grosse Auswahl und das China Restaurant ist sehr gut. Am Pool hat man eine gute Aussicht auf die Stadt, die vorbeigehende Autobahn ist jedoch sehr laut, der Weg zur Metro kurz. Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert.

Excellent location, but the road in front of the hotel is often congested. The property is not new but perfectly maintained and is impeccably clean. Perfect for business stay, also nice for leisure. The key selling point however is the staff. With all capitals: THE STAFF. I have never had such an experience with any staff in any hotel before. From the concierge to the Horizon Club team, everybody provides the highest quality of attention. I am celiac and in need of special diet, and I have never ever been treated with so much attention in any hotel. Shangri La will be my brand to go from now, thank you very much for the fantastic hospitality and experience.

safe, clean, and beautiful we stayed for 4 nights and we had the breakfast package which was well worth it, food was delicious and it was conveniently located near to the metro station. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was welcoming and multilingual which was nice.

The hotel overall was very good, staffs were lovely. However, we booked our hotel for 3 person stay but they offered us 2 person double bed room. They offered us portable small bed for another person but our room was small that due to extra bed there was not enough space so we asked them to take out the bed. So three person had to share the bed together in double bedroom which was not very convenient. Otherwise everything was good. Thank you.
