I had called the day before our arrival to request an hour early check in. The desk clerk was most pleasant. At check in the desk clerk acted as though I was asking for the moon. "We normally charge $25 for early check in. But because we are slow you can check in now." The room had dirty towels left in the bathroom. On the up side, the bath towels were very nice, clean & white! The bathroom is in need of repairs. The facet leaks and rocks back & forth when you try to turn it off & on. The lamps were old & damaged. The bathroom lights are damaged & cracked where they probably got too hot. They were not glass but some type of plastic & need replacing. The evening desk clerk was very pleasant. The next morning I talked to the desk clerk to see if there was a manager on duty. Not today. I told her I was NOT looking for a discount or refund, but that there was mold & dirt on the shower edge. I was trying to mop up the water from the handicap shower which had spread out into the tile floor & the towel was black & brown. It gave me the creeps because I just took a shower in that filth. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect the room to be CLEAN. It was not. Then the clerk said, we don't give discounts or refunds. I reiterated that I wasn't looking for either, I just thought the one responsible would want to know. I asked that the manger call me. She took my number. The lady that maintained the breakfast area was outstanding. She was friendly & helpful!
