Downtown Manzanita is just over one mile away from your front door and there you'll find all the dining options and stores needed– no more, no less. It's a peaceful town offering less commerce and a slower pace of life compared to Cannon Beach and Seaside. However, if you feel like you need a little fix of city life, Cannon Beach is 15.5 miles north. The beach at Manzanita stretches for five miles, from the base of Neahkanie Mountain to the mouth of the Nehalem River. Hiking enthusiasts can trek up to the Neahkahnie Mountain summit (six miles away)–the views along the shoreline down to Tillamook Bay are magnificent
