Host was not great at responding to messages before my reservation. I had not received anything regarding check in until morning of, which is fine but that would be nice to know in the description. Traveled in winter and when we arrived the driveway and walk up path were icy and snow covered. It would have been nice to have that shoveled and taken care of before our stay. When we arrived for our stay, the house was dirty. Garbage's were not emptied, sheets were not changed and there was left over garbage around the place. I spent an hour sweeping, vacuuming, changing garbage's and cleaning up after we got there. Realized that there was then a mix up with our check in when the cleaners arrived to clean the house about 2 hours after we arrived. Spoke with a member of the booking team that was a bit unpleasant, almost making it seem like it was our fault that we checked in and it wasn't clean. He was questioning how I booked the property and that he didn't have our reservation down so that's why it wasn't cleaned. The cleaners worked quickly to get the place tidied up a bit. Not a great experience overall, but appreciated them working fast to get everything cleaned. The location was fine, nothing special and the house itself was pretty much as described in the photos. A bit older in person with cracked paint, stains and such.Overall our experience started off a bit rough but the house was fine for what we needed for the long weekend.

House was clean and roomy, but several things were broken, i.e. bedroom blinds, bedroom window wouldn't open, shower door falling off, kitchen sliding door very difficult to open and shut, and toilet seat coming off. Essential paper products not supplied or very little. Had to run out and purchase toilet paper. ** Safety issue** House was being shot at with large sling shot pellets. One almost went through the family room double pain window above our heads as we watched TV. Home owner was notified and is aware this happened.

When we got to the home, it was uncleaned from prior tenants... so we waited hours before cleaners arrived & made home acceptable.. No supplies, no necessities were left for the 3 of us! We had to go shopping, that evening & buy all that weren't stocked. There was no toilet paper, paper towel, ice, coffee, trash bags, kleenex, etc.. there was one towel for 3 of us. The Hot Tub was what our reservation was made on, & when we saw it, were saddened by it, deflated, filthy & unusable! Even asked for a hose to clean & fill it, but host did not respond to request. Asked Vrbo for compensation, but host would not answer attempts to contact, therefore denying any compensation, for our 8 day stay. Disappointed... to say the least! I wasnt expecting a full refund, but host was impossibly unmoved by our situation. My son, girlfriend & I came to Mich for my dads 90th birthday & family reunion. Unfortunately, the daily plans with family & expense of getting another place, made it hard to do, or afford! It would have been a nice visit, if home were clean, had the hot tub, as advertised, & was supplied with essential items for stay... esp, towels!

Not at all like the listing

Jacuzzi was inoperable, dirty. No hose to fill it, no electric cable to plug it in. No towels or tp in 1/2 bath. Food left in master bedside table. Garbage disposal worked, but had to unplug it to get it to stop. No baking dishes. Lawns needed to be mowed. Dirty door jams. One roll of paper towels in kitchen. No hand towels. First bath had mold, cracked sink. Master shower had mold. kitchen tile was not installed around light switch. Piles of dog poop in backyard next to deck. Gross!! Had to contact host three times for arrival information.

The location was perfect and the house was adequate however the house was not as listed. When checking in we were contacted by our host that a fine would be incurred for flushing toilet paper down toilet?? The back yard was awful. There was animal feces all over which was a concern as we have dogs. No gas for grill. No detergent for dishwasher/washing machine. No dishtowels. Low quality bath towels. Very disappointed. havewehavA ground hog frequent visitors.
