On entering it is a luxurious and beautiful space. Our room was clean and lovely but did not feel like a five star resort. Bathroom was small like an average hotel. Pool was also disappointing in size and water condition- one day was very cloudy and seemed dirty.

Wasn't able to get reservations in hotel restaurant even one week prior to arrival...they did give me a reservation at last minute after wéd given up and gone somewhere else. Check in was not great.. wrong room number as written on our card. Keys didn't work and had to return to front desk with luggage to get right room number. Room was nice and clean but nothing special.

Clean friendly professional atmosphere with wondergul food, pools and coffee shop and fitness centwr. Power outage and being relocated to another building as well as continued power outage tests was inconvenient and disturbed my otherwise peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The hotel was pretty great for the most part. I was disappointed with the room service being served in take out containers. It felt cheap and a thinly veiled attempt at cutting down on staffing costs. It is definitely disappointing considering how pricey the food, ($18 for a standard breakfast) and hotel are. It made our breakfast in bed experience messy. Considering our experience at the Seagate last year, I will be more inclined to book there again next year. I also find that the chairs at the beach should not be an extra charge. Again, considering the Seagate has a whole beach club experience at no extra charge. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

I would have rated this hotel excellent except for the rooms are very small. Our room was always cleaned though and the lobby, restaurants and staff more than made up for the rooms. Great staff everywhere on the property from the valet to the pool area. I would stay here again.

Staff was excellent, they let us arrive at 11am when we didnt check in until 4, held our luggage. Then when we checked out the next day at 11 and they held our luggage until 4 both times we were able to enjoy the resourt and beach 5 star

The location of the Opal Grand cannot be beat. Across from Beach-walk to everything!!! This property has So much potential!! Staff was very present and helpful but there were a few things not working during our stay. elevator was not working properly during our whole trip, hot tub was not working at all one of the days (and we needed it on this chilly day), when we arrived we were asked if we'd like a lower or upper floor-we said we didn't care but we were given a room with a terrible view of the dirty roof in between the towers when a better view was available- they switched us into a different room when we complained which had a partial ocean view!! Restaurants in the hotel were great, I used the Peloton bike in the gym which worked great and we were treated very well by the staff working at the pool as well as the staff in the lobby and at the front/side doors. we still love the Opal! I'm sure we will be back!!

This property was great. We had a wonderful weekend at the Opal. The only thing that we found curious and a little annoying was that we could have booked it ourselves and the daily rate would have been cheaper than we paid through Expedia. Next time we will check on prices before using a travel website.

The physical aesthetics of the property was not as high end as the price would suggest. The hallway to our room had debris on the carpet as was not vacuumed enough. We did not feel like we were at a high end hotel.

Hotel is beautiful. Only issue was the design of our room. TV was on the wall to the side of the bed and does not swivel. Also sink (and hair dryer) were located directly behind the wall where the bed is, so it can disturb someone trying to sleep.Bathroom and fixtures were beautiful, loved the espresso maker and coffee selections. The people who worked the valet parking were amazing.

This was my second time back at the Opal. They are extremely welcoming and most importantly accommodating. From the moment I checked in until I left, anything I needed or asked they were able to assist. The Pool area is the best part, staff is helpful to get you a seat by the pool. The bar outside bar has a big tv so I was able to watch the game. Brooke was awesome, as she remembered my drinks and even provided some great recommendations. Rather than go to another sports bar near by, I had friends just come meet me there! Even when the area got super busy for the game, she went out of her way to make sure myself and others staying there were taken care of!

I’m surprised this place has such great reviews. Price is outrageous for what it is which is straight up ghetto… My biggest complaint is the lack of sleep- this hotel is LOUD! We had the king suite and were located on the second floor. It sounded like elephants walking around all night, throwing suitcases on the ground every 5 mins. I eventually had to call the front desk at midnight to complain and they settled down for a whole 30 mins, I think I finally got to sleep about 3 AM. The hotel only had 1 of the 2 elevators working, so we constantly had to take the stairs unless we wanted to wait for over 20 mins to get an elevator. They don’t have plans to fix the elevator either which was clear. The room was very dusty, I had a hard time breathing in the room. The toilet paper holder wasn’t secure to the wall, not sure why. The balcony was a fake balcony- it wasn’t even an arm length big so you couldn’t even sit out there. The “balcony” overlooked the spa where people were constantly hanging out in their robes mingling and smoking, so not ideal as a pregnant woman wanting a peaceful weekend. Very disappointed, we will not be back. The W in Ft. Lauderdale is way better and actually the same price. I also put up a do not disturb sign on the door to come back and find our room picked up which was also weird… the sister hotel the Atlantic suites is also a step up from here, the lobby may not be as nice but the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the hotel rooms are quiet.

Not the best accommodations
For what you pay for I would expect better service. over a 3 night stay with my sister we chose this hotel for a relaxing weekend. on two separate occasions we had to call down 2-3 times to get waters sent to the room. I also had to call to request the room service to clean and turn down the beds and several hours upon returning nothing had been touched in the rooms. I wouldn't stay again. Staff were friendly.

Seems like a party place
Modern updated Hotel. Our room was on the small side and made it difficult to Traverse the various suitcases we had with us. Occupancy for 2 days and smaller amounts of luggage would be sufficient. Dinner at the drift restaurant was excellent. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating and it show came through the room when the doors were opened. The food was well prepared and the service was good as the servers were in my instance College age young ladies who were doing this just to supplement their income. The internet service was very poor and there was no consistency to the connectivity. Dad and so to injury for an additional $12 and 95 cents a day you could get faster internet speed. In my humble opinion if you're going to offer service it should be workable and in this case it wasn't.

We had a spectacular view of the ocean with a small balcony for two. Our room was a bit outdated with the exception of the bathroom. They had a convenient market downstairs. Access to beach was across the street but hotel does not have chair/umbrella service but they do provide pool towels. The pool area was incredibly congested so we did not get to enjoy it.
