Great spot!

Cozy and very cool property!
We love Ravalli County. It is so beautiful! The cabin was clean, cozy and stocked with everything you might need, and the bed was super comfy. The property sista right on the river and is stunning. It was great to return in the afternoon/evening and jump in the spa under the stars. The hosts were great and their restaurant right down the road, Knotty Nymph, was amazing! Steak and cocktails were spot on! We will definitely be back.

Family Fishing Trip
Me and my brothers got my dad a fishing charter on the Bitterroot for Father's day and booked the Westslope Cabin for my Parents and all us kids stayed in the Cutthroat Cabin. Toni and Jason are amazing hosts and their cabin's are well stocked and very comfortable. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Toni and Jason were great about being around and available any time we had a question and they were a wealth of information about the area. If you are there to explore the outdoors they can definitely point you in the right direction. I hope to make it back in the winter for some skiing.

Great stay
We stayed in the Cutthroat cabin at Hannon House for a week. The cabin is small but cozy and stocked with everything you would need and then some. We spent most of our time on the covered deck, perfect for relaxing after fishing or watching deer grazing in the grass. Toni and Jason were the perfect hosts. Very friendly and always asking if there’s anything we needed. Jason even brought us fresh cut lettuce and an onion from their garden. If you’re looking for a very relaxing and rewarding stay in the Darby, MT area make sure to place the Cutthroat Cabin @ Hannon House first on your list of places to stay.

Perfect quiet place to get away

My husband and I had a short but quiet and relaxing stay. Cabin was advertised accurately and had everything needed. Toni was super responsive when texted questions. Jason shared fly fishing info for wade-fishing and boating on the Bitterroot. Thanks for the accommodations. Great place to stay!

Camping beneath Trapper Peak and Como Peak makes for the best setting in the valley
Friendly staff, cleanest lodging in our whole trip. Our only regret was that we missed the rodeo last night. Centrally located enough for access to all kinds of mountain access. Plan for a minimum of a week or there just won’t be enough time. Thank you Hannon House! We will miss you guys.

Spectacular!!!!!
Stayed with my two fly fishing adult daughters. Absolutely perfect in every way. Managers, Toni and Jason, are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are available at all times if you need them, but also respect your privacy if you want it. We really didn't because we enjoyed talking with them so much. The girls caught a good number of native Westslope Cutthroat trout in the Bitterroot River which runs through the property. Thinking of returning next month, but definitely next year. Just love the place!!!!! Almost forgot, there is also free entertainment provided by two adorable miniature Australian Shepherds - Eddy and Stormy.

Hannon House is perfect
The Hannon House is a great place to relax after a day of exploring and fishing the Bitterroot valley. Jason and Toni go out of their way to make you feel right at home from the very beginning to the end of your stay. The evening fire is a really nice touch, and the fishing advice and history lessons from Steve were awesome. Great folks and a great place. Oh, and you can fish right out back! My son caught his first Montana brown trout there!

Lost Trail Getaway
We had the most wonderful stay with Toni and Jason.. and Eddy the miniature Aussie! From the moment we pulled into the property with a welcome sign for our family, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. Not only did we wake up to fresh eggs from the chicken coop, Jason and Toni made us personal bonfires every night with marshmallows for the kids. The Cuttthroat Cabin is well appointed, clean and the beds are probably better than we have at home. We all slept like “bears in hibernation” (Stella’s quote) after a long day of skiing powder and a soak in the Hottub overlooking the river. What a treat! Thank you Toni and Jason, we will be back and look forward to another night around the campfire with Hazelnut White Russians!

Perfect Get Away
We loved our stay at Hannon House. The location is perfect for day hiking, fishing, exploring nearby towns or just hanging out. Good restaurants nearby and the brewery in Darby is the perfect stop after a busy day. Jason, Toni, Steve and Kim are wonderful hosts and expect to be entertained by The Eddy, Sly and the chickens. Enjoy evenings around the campfire and be mesmerized by the nights sky. Easy check-in and excellent interaction with our hosts ...we felt like family coming home. Well appointed kitchen and all the amenities of home. And, a Keurig for those who need almost instant coffee in the mornings! Can’t say enough great things about Hannon House. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

The cabin was comfortable—bed, chairs, sofa, reading lights. Well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels. Windows opened for fresh air. 2 heaters for the chilly mornings. The washer & dryer were helpful amenities. Access to the river was nice. Open spaces for walking our dog. Hosts were very pleasant & helpful.

Great fishing quarters
The Hannon House proved perfect for our three day early season fishing getaway on the Bitterroot. The accommodations are comfortable and very well equipped. Hannon House fish buddies stay in April
Steve and his crew of Toni and Jason were exceptional hosts and my brothers and fly fishing buddies felt more like old friends than first time visitors to Darby and the Bitterroot River. Highest marks, praise and thanks from myself and our crew of elder fly fishermen. Having ready access to the river allowed us to float fish down to camp or from camp really saving on shuttle times and expenses as well. I hope to return and stay at the Hannon House again. Ray

Fisherman and outdoors person paradise
What is not to like? right on the Bitterrot River, great fly fishing you can walk to plus driving distance to a dozen streams. Cabin was clean and well appointed. Clean bathroom and bedrooms, bathroom and shower are excellent. Washer dryer was nice to have plus kitchen has lots of spices and oil already so no need to buy. Nice extras like hot tub, fire pit and gas grill. Hosts are very accommodating. Close to Darby and Hamilton. Would stay here again. Took my two teenage sons and they both caught their first trout on a fly rod here. Great memories. Internet in the entire valley here is sketchy so don't expect to stream too many videos via TV. streaming to phone via your wireless internet works just fine.

Not only was the cabin comfy, Steve told me what the secret fly of the day was...and then, several days later, as I was leaving reluctantly, sent me off with a thermos of fresh brewed coffee (strong enough for your spoon to stand up in) and some of Kim home-made oatmeal cookies. How can a cabin stay on a river...be "classy?" Ask landlord Steve who always seems to go a step above. This was our 2nd summer staying at Cutthroat Cabin on the Bitterroot River for a week. I wrote a review last year & am glad to note that the quality here is still TOP notch. We stay at VRBO's all over the country & know what's "standard," what's above & below. This place covers every base & then some. Here are a few of the many perks of staying. We love picking BIG bowls of raspberries in the a.m. & Steve encourages his guests to do so. He provides life jackets if you want to float the river, so no need to rent. His Keurig coffee basket is stocked as is a "treat" basket that he places out for you with gourmet snacks to greet you upon arrival. The pantry has all the essentials for cooking, oils, condiments, etc. Plenty of games & a stocked library in the main house to which the guests have full access. Once again, we fished in the premier Bitterroot River on his private fishing access allowing us to catch our limit and have delicious fish for dinner. One night we bought Montana steak (best steak in the U.S in our opinion) cooked on the grill on our deck. The table for two is romantic and we felt like we were at a resort. In the evening we like to retire to the cozy living room & watch a movie and then sit on the back porch to watch the sun set behind Trapper Peak. The Swiss Alps have nothing on this bit of heaven. There are people down the river spending $1000+ per night for a cabin stay while Steve keeps his prices CRAZY low. The beds are comfy with white duvets, the shower is awesome and the grounds are kept groomed and immaculate. I can't say enough about this "best kept secret" getaway & can't wait for our week there next year. If you book .. tell 'em Laurie & H sent ya!

A wonderful place to stay and enjoy what Montana has to offer. Very comfortable and fully equipped home and wonderful hosts. Take advantage of having a glass of wine in front of the campfire and don't forget to check out the stars in the night sky. Highly recommend. Will stay again.

Very comfortable spot for skiing at lost trail and Cheif Joseph
We stayed here to ski for 3 days with friends. It was a good place to return to each day. Steve kept the hot tub hot .. Which my friend and I enjoyed. The rooms were clean and kitchen stocked with enough pans and items to cook. We would definitely rent again. Nice place
