Hotel fast am Meer ohne Möglichkeit des Zugangs
Hotel in der Nähe des Strandes, allerdings in zweiter Reihe und KEINE Möglichkeit, an den Strand zu gelangen.Es wird u.a. HP angeboten und eine ausführliche Speisekarte mit ca. 8-10 Seiten gereicht, allerdings kam so nach und nach - nach verschiedenen Bestellversuchen - heraus, dass es nur ein Sandwhich gab: ungetoastetes Toastbrot mit weichen und nicht durch gegarten Pommes Frites: nicht essbar. Das Küchenpersonal scheint - zurückhaltend ausgedruckt - total überfordert. Das Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick: Balkon zur einzigen Straße, daher kaum nutzbar; das Meer in weiter weiter Ferne zu ahnen, denn der Blick ist total zugebaut. Obwohl das Hotel zu 90 % leer war, war man nicht bereit, ein Zimmer in einem höheren Stockwerk (3. oder 4. Stock) mit besserer Aussicht auf das kristallklare und azurblaue Wasser des eigentlich sehr nahen Meeres zu geben. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich, aber irgendwie hilflos. Das versprochene Internet funktionierte einwandfrei.

Ideal für Gäste die nicht den ganzen Tag im Hotel bleiben wollen. Im F&B Bereich ist das Haus nicht zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist bemüht und freundlich, Gesamteindruck : man versucht professionell zu werden, leider etwas holprig.

The hotel is nice and the staff are very friendly. There as a cleanliness issues when I stayed there. There was lots of hair in the bathroom most likely from the previous guest that was not vacuumed. Other that everything was good

This hotel was terrible, I wonder why it has good reviews at all. The bedding was dirty, the ac did not work properly and rooms were not smelling pleasantly, we literally had to check in to another hotel across seascape because we were not going to sleep there. Book for this hotel at your own risk.

Affordable stay with Pool and small gym
Very nice place to stay while in Dar es Salaam. The view from the 5th floor is amazing. Overall the staff is nice and the Hotel is comfortable.

Good and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback was the restaurant food not being so good... But if you are going across the road to the beach, the food there is good!

This is a very modern hotel and everything is just brilliant. Only downside was the actual distance from Airport and Centre of Dar-es-Salam.

Average, not worth the price
Pros: 1) The room was comfortable and clean. 2) Room service was prompt. 3) Nice, large bathrooms. 4) Great view! 5) Relatively quiet neighborhood. Cons: 1) HORRIBLE food. 2) TSH 5000 surcharge to every room service order. 3) Staff seemed confused about a lot of things. 4) Receptionist (a short Indian woman) was incompetent and rude.

I recently went to dar es salaam and stayed at the Seascape Hotel. Was very disappointed. It should NOT be 5* rated. It's not even 4*. They don't have a gym, Rooftop should have a sea view restaurant which they don't have. Our rooms electrical was faulty, everytime we switched the tv on the rooms electric would go off. Breakfast was appalling. Nothing like a 5* hotel should be. Some staff members were okay. Some rather laid back than keen to help. I certainly would not go there. I would not recommend any one to go there until they have improved on their standards.

We were attending a wedding in the hotel across the road so this was a perfect choice. Rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, wardrobe with electronic safe, modern bathroom, all very clean, water flow very poor though.We had a room on 4th floor with a balcony and sea view. Breakfast was as it is standard in 3&4 star hotels in Tanzania- choice of 2 juices, 2/3 cereals, sliced bread, local doughnuts, 2/3 cooked warm items like sausages and beans, potato bhajias and one more, tea/coffee. This hotel is not by the sea, you have to pay to any hotel across the road to enjoy the beach. far from airport and city centre.

Cercavo un hotel vicino all'aereoporto internazionale di Dar El Salam in Tanzania per una sola notte prima di ritornare in Italia; avevo letto sul sito che distava solo 4 km, invece occorrono circa due ore di macchina per arrivarci! Hotel bellissimo, vicino al mare che sembrava anch'esso bello; ma non era quello che mi serviva! Ritornata in Italia ho riguardato la distanza, sembra essere stata aggiornata, 20 km; ma il tempo per arrivarci, con il traffico di Dar, è 2 ore.

Clean, friendly. Not on the beach. Gym was under renovation. Breakfast was good: potatoes, beans, tomatoes, sausages and meat(chicken or liver). Also fruits and yoghurt. Negative things was that we asked about the price of late check out and they told us three times that the price is 50 000 tzh. When we were leaving they said that price was mistake, but we did't wanted to pay the amount which they were saying(paid finally 65 000 tzh). Our last night in the hotel, security came with customer accidentally in our room in the middle of the night. I got really scared, because when they saw me, they just left without saying anything. We called to reception and they told us what happened.

Great Hotel with a great price!
The Seascape hotel is a great affordable option while staying in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. It is located directly across from an amazing beach and has great views depending on the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided world class service from the moment that I stepped into the door. The decor of the hotel is very nice and I hope they keep the place in good condition. Breakfast was provided daily and was good quality, they had a nice variety of food. The only drawback to this hotel is may be the location. The location makes it a nice quite place to go to get away from busy and loud city atmosphere, however you may have difficulties if you are trying to use any type of public transportation (taxi or bajaji) at night. Some forms of transportation are hard to find late night. Also the hotel does not have direct access to the beach but it is an easy short walk across the street to White sands resort. The hotel has a very nice pool area. Overall this is a great hotel in a safe area.

Very inconvenient. Wonderful staff.
I chose this hotel for its location, I thought on the beach. It was instead several blocks from the beach and considered unsafe to walk as a woman alone. I chose this hotel for its fitness room which was "under construction". The SAT tv was unavailable and the wifi unable to connect. There was a business center. The room was roomy, clean with comfortable bed, exc air conditioning. Staff all lovely and apologetic. Helpful and really trying to address the issues. I only saw 2 or three other guests. But the biggest problem was the rmote location from downtown and the airport leading to a $60 ride from the ferry to the hotel and another $60 from the hote lto the airport. That made this inexpensive beach hotel an isolated, expensive stay.

Seascape is great. It is fairly new. Provides a beautiful view to the ocean from the 5th floor. Has decent breakfast. Good daily room cleaning. Good laundry service. Among other good things. However, the wifi internet may have poor signal in the rooms. Internet speed is a bit slow. It does however have a business centre with free PCs to access internet & print docs. I found that the gym is somewhat neglected. The key to the door was lost so the work around was to access the gym through the window - good stretching exercise! However, little effort was made to remedy this problem

Fine, behagelige rom, vaskes hver dag. Svært hyggelige, serviceinnstilte ansatte. Restauranten er helt OK, savner lunsjtilbud. Uteområdet ved bassenget er greit, men kan bli VELDIG varmt ettersom det ikke kommer til noe vind. Litt lang avstand til severdigheter og sentrum. Veldig greit hotel å bo på for et par netter, men anbefales kanskje ikke dersom man ønsker en lengre strand- eller storbyferie. Alt i alt et bra opphold.

Miserable experience. Would never go back.
So many problems, where to begin? They put us in the wrong (cheaper) room than what we paid for. When they offered to change it two days later, they showed us a "seaview" room ... except the view was of a DIRT FIELD. That evening the manager called to say they had showed us the wrong room, but at that point, it just wasn't worth it to switch as we were leaving the next day. The safe didn't work and it took them two days before they fixed it. The hotel set us up with the world's worst driver/guide. He charged us double what it should have cost for a safari, knew nothing about the surrounding area, and tried to only take us to places that were very obviously built JUST for tourists. We left early on the day of the safari and the hotel promised to prepare a breakfast. On the day of, they had completely forgotten. We ended up with one egg each, and three slices of plain white bread wrapped in foil. To make up for it, they offered us a free dinner. Except it took the chef OVER two hours to prepare three basic meals. By the time our food arrived, we weren't even hungry. There is no beach access and their advice is to LIE to the hotel across the road to obtain it. The receptionist told us to say that we were going to "use the spa" or something like that ... and then just go to the beach. I would absolutely not go here again.
