Beautiful back road scenery,farms with local produce, antique shops, theaters and plays,restaurants with fine dining and much more can be found in the neighboring towns of Woodstock,Brooklyn,Pomfret ,Danielson, and Putnam. If you're feeling more adventurous city fun can be found in Providence RI and Worcester Ma which are both about a 40 minute drive away. The city of Newport and all of RI's best ocean beaches are also within an hours drive.
