Lage wunderschön
Lage toll, Anlage sauber, Zimmer geräumig, Pool schön (wenn auch nur 1m tief) und die Manatees traumhaft Negativ ist einzig der unfreundliche und nicht kundenorientierte Umgang einer Mitarbeiterin mit einer Reklamation.

Glanz vergangener Zeiten - beschreibt es ganz gut. Große Anlage, allerdings sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind teils renoviert und erneuert worden, allerdings benötigt auch ein Treppenhaus eine Renovierung. Das Fenster im Zimmer war verklemmt und lies sich nicht öffnen. Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer kam aus früheren Zeiten. Die Duschwanne hatte ihre Zeiten auch hinter sich. Auch im Außenbereich muss mal wieder der alte Glanz der damals ganz bestimmt tollen Hotelanlage poliert werden. Es steckt sehr viel Potential in dem Hotel. Zu den Restaurants können wir nichts sagen, da wir diese nicht genutzt hatten. Wir hatten für ein Frühstück auf dem Zimmer nach einer Schale für Müsli gefragt. Leider war es nicht möglich uns eine Schale zur Verfügung zu stellen. Wir haben leider nur eine Pappschale für einen Hamburger sowie Plastikbesteck bekommen. Da wir auf einem Roadtrip waren, mussten wir unsere alten Sachen waschen. Das Hotel verfügt im freien (überdacht) eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner. Ein Automat enthält das benötigte Waschmittel. Allerdings hat der Automat kein Geld genommen, so dass wir im Hotelshop das Waschmittel besorgen mussten. Nach der Wäsche wollten wir den Trockner nutzen. Allerdings hat dieser nicht funktioniert. Diese Station befindet sich neben der Wäscherei, so dass uns eine nette Frau geholfen hat und tatsächlich angeboten hat für uns die Sachen zu trocknen. Sie hat sogar alles zusammengelegt. Das war ein wirklich sehr sehr guter Service!

Sehr nettes Hotel mit dem Motto Manatees. Schon am Eingang ist ein grosses Springbrunnen mit Manatees und ihren Babies aus Marmor. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort genossen.

The walls are so thin...you hear everything, from the room next to you and everything down the hall. It's hard to sleep with so much noise. Staff looked bored and disinterested, especially at the front desk. It wasn't welcoming and the property was outdated and unbelievably noisy. I wouldn't stay here again.

This place has so much potential! It is a 60 year old hotel and sadly it does show. It's really a very beautiful property and could be a 4 star plus hotel with some work. The pool and hot tub area was clean and well kept. The front desk staff was awesome, very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping did a great job and were friendly as well. The bartenders were great as well. The restaurant needs help, servers were horrible at their job. We had to ask for water, ask for refills to water and coffee, and this was in a mostly empty restaurant. Waitress was very slow in making the rounds, the kitchen was even slower. Both times we ate there, once for lunch once for breakfast, there were only a few other tables seated in the whole place and each time it took almost 30 minutes to get food out. We ate breakfast burritos one day and for lunch we had grilled fish. Food quality was good, but speed it up!!! We also did the manatee dive through their "Dive Shop". It was great. We saw up close multiple manatees and the crew were great at their job. My main complaint about the "Dive Shop" is that they do not do any scuba trips. Its a snorkling shop. Thats fine, but the website uses scuba flags and refers to itself as a dive shop and charter. We had planned on doing scuba dives through them as the convivence being part of the hotel is nice. This was a main reason to choosing the hotel and I probably would not have if I had known they do not provide diving at the dive shop... 2 solid stars.

The property was far from resort-worthy. Painfully under-staffed, ceiling tiles throughout lobby were in disrepair, hallways in dire need of being cleaned and painted, stairwell carpet torn and dirty, shower tiles moldy and in need of repair, no hot water, and bathroom vent covered in mold. Called back to ensure refund and was on hold for 90 minutes before giving up. Left after first night and cancelled the rest of our stay. Refund better come through.

The bathroom had no place to put our toiletries down, there was no hot water in the shower and no bath mat to use had there been any hot water, there were broken ceiling tiles, mold growing in the corners of the ceiling, no breakfast. The staff didn’t have our rooms ready when we got there at 4:20 pm—they said to wait 5 minutes while they went to see if they were ready. 40 minutes later ( after the person who talked to us left) they finally got us rooms on the second floor. I use a walker and was told that they didn’t have an elevator!! My husband has difficulty walking as well. Also, there were no carts to transport our luggage. My son and daughter kept their room on the second floor and we were finally given a room on the first floor. I could go on and on— but anyway you look at it, the place was intolerable! We ended up canceling our reservations for the next 2 nights and we think we deserve a refund for the night we had to stay there.

Guest room had no lock on the adjoining room door. It was a hole where the deadbolt should have been. Maintenance guy said he couldn’t fix it and was throughly irritated that we bothered him. Sink in bathroom clogged and all I did was wash my hands!!! That’s when I saw the lock situation. The poor employee at the front desk was new and tried her best. Her manager was sitting at a desk behind the wall and wouldn’t help her as she was new to the job. Took about 40 minutes and she found another room for me. The room was ok but the entire property smells like mold, must and mildew. We had stayed here three times before and it’s definitely gone way down hill. Hallways and stairwells were very dirty. Food at the bar was just ok. Way overpriced for room and food. If I didn’t know better it seems as if the place is ready to be torn down.

Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes that people behind the desk are from other departments and they have been doing paperwork and they do not know how to check people in. We always try to have extra people on staff when we have larger check ins. Sorry you had a bad experience at our hotel. We would like to have you come back in the future.

Asked for a pack and play a total of 3 times , never managed to get one . Had to sleep in a very small bed with 2 kids because there was nowhere for my infant to sleep. Curtains were hanging off the wall in our room , mold on all the vents and no key entry to our building which means anyone could enter . The pool was full of teenagers that were not staying at the hotel and made the experience miserable. Menu for the restaurant is 2 years out of date (the bartender told us that) but i will say the food was very good and holly the bartender was brilliant. Has the potential to be a fantastic hotel but it is incredibly outdated.

It’s a very nice, maintained property. The hotel is in need of some upkeep in terms of paint, some caulking needed, etc. but I had a nice stay. No complaints. My kids loved the pool and the tiki bar was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, the hotel grounds are beautiful. With this said, the inside of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. You can see reminiscence of hurricane damage and what appears to be a rush effort of quality in order to get back up in running. The cleaning and condition of the rooms needs to be addressed. This hotel is beautiful and in a great location however, the conditions need to be addressed properly.

Had to wait for the room to ready at 6:00 PM, when check in was 4:00 PM. Expedia didn’t note an additional $30 “resort fee” when booking or we wouldn’t have chosen it. Room was older, hairdryer was ripped off the wall and tossed up in closet. Fridge intermittently had water coming out of and puddling across the floor. Lot’s of thick caulking in bathtub. We became severely congested with plugged noses when we woke up.

After a long flight and drive to get there, the staff who checked us in was unwelcoming and unfriendly. She didn’t tell us about any of the hotel’s amenities like the fact there was a coffee shop on the hotel for the morning, and when I asked about a late check out, due to our manatee swimming trip ending at the same time as check out was scheduled, she said that late check out was not available. When I asked the new staff person in the morning the same question, she said we could check out late for no fee. There was no water pressure in the shower, and the blankets on the bed was very thin with no extra blankets available. We were cold all night with no way to make it warmer since the thermostat did not do that. We needed a couple extra towels to use after our no pressure shower and were told they had run out. The lady in the coffee shop was nice as was the lady that told us we actually could check out late, but overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment.

The property is old and a bit outdated. Our bathroom was dingy and there were missing parts to the shower. West 52 resteraunt was average at best. Walkable to manatee adventure and outdoor pool and bar was nice.

This place is not worth the price. It smells in the stair ways. The floors are dirty. They do not clean the rooms during your stay. We ran out of toilet paper and towels. The hot tub didn’t work the entire time we were there ( one week) The place is in really bad shape and they are robbing people by charging what they charge to stay there. From the second I enter the hallway before I even seen the room I knew I made a mistake booking this place. I recommend finding a different hotel to stay.

I booked a junior suite with a water view and was looking forward to my stay. I had not visited this property. When I arrived there was a significant leak in the ceiling and water was dripping inside the room. The carpet was soaked. The front desk and house keeping were understaffed and we were told they could not move us to the same or higher room. We were placed in a room with a significant downgrade and when I went to the front desk to Check out, my credit card had been charged the fee for the junior suite. The shift desk clerk took off some fees to lower my cost, but overall this was a disappointing experience and I do not know if I would ever come back.

The rooms and hallways need a major update! The hotel from the outside is very elegant. I booked for my family of five expecting a pullout couch and there wasn't. They brought a cot but the room was very small for a family. It's a nice location and the restaurant onsite was pleasant, the staff was friendly but service was very slow. Don't recommend the key lime pie.

First room we checked into bed was broke door was hard to open to the outer, second room tub dripped all night, toilet wouldn’t flush and ran when it did this hotel needs much maintenance and upgrade. When told to the employees they agreed they had no reason but did agree with what was going on there
