Amazing getaway
Truly enjoyed the overall stay. Private, quite, clean, well cared for. The view from this property is beautiful. Fire pit at night. Porch upstairs with grill and perfect for sitting and reading.

River Bend Hills
We had a very good experience. Property was as advertised. We owned a cabin nearby for several years and it was convenient to go back to our old stomping grounds. The only thing that might be an issue is there are only 3 chairs for the table. As the home easily sleeps 6 this could be an issue. I had seen it in another review and had taken a bag chair so the 4 of us could eat together. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and utensils.

Decent place to stay
Cabin has a nice setting, but can use a lot of tlc and updates. Bees nest in the chairs and porch. Squirrel or some kind of animal in the attic area. AC unit only worked for part of one day, then cabin heated up into the 80’s. Lucky for us it was very cool nights and were able to open up all of the windows to help cool it down to sleep. Fire pit area is very off level and chairs were dangerous to sit in as they are falling apart. Hot tub partially works. View off of the front porch is nice. Cabin is small but comfortable. Location is decent it’s not too far of a drive to Grayson Highands or Jefferson for restaurants.

Weekend Get Away
We had a great time in this secluded mountain cabin. The cool master bedroom had a mattress better than any 5 star hotel anywhere. Sitting on the front porch and watching the setting sun go over the mountain was breath taking and helped rekindle the romance in a 20 plus year marriage. We definitely will make this trip again.

A few things that need to be addressed: Upstairs tub isn't draining properly. dining chairs (2) need bolts tightened. We tried, but had no tools with us. Thank you for a relaxing get away!

VA Creeper trip with girl friends
The property was as described, very cozy. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor amenities. Location is remote and I don’t recommend arriving after dark if you are unfamiliar with the roads in the area. Great weekend!

The cabin itself was nice. The hot tub was nice and we liked the location but the washer did not work the outside stairs were steps and needed to be replaced. They were dangerous I tripped over them more than once. The gas grill was rusted disgusting and falling apart needs to be replaced.

Family vacation with grandsons
This was the second time renting this cabin. We love it. Close to town and tubing. Private. 20 minutes from west jefferson nc. Great views.

I thought the cabin was alot closer to things to do. The cabin was very poorly cleaned especially when they charge a cleaning fee on the bill when you rent the cabin.

Some of the features were as described. Steps both inside and outside house were steep, so be careful especially if carrying anything up or down with vision impaired by bulky items. Disappointed by very small kitchen with only 3 chairs. If you want room for the family to sit, eat, play games together, this is not your cabin. We had a family of 4 and one of us had to sit on the cooler we brought all week to eat. Outside, yes there are enough chairs to watch the mountains, but again, fire pit with only 2 chairs. Fire pit and picnic table on a downhill, so not comfortable to sit outside with snacks and drinks. When we attempted to eat at picnic table (because we were trying to enjoy family meals), smoke from fire kept blowing in our faces, so we were not enjoying it. The property is semi private, neighbors are close. View is nice in the morning & after the sun sets behind the mountain. There is about a 3-4 hour window when the sun beams on the front porch & you can’t enjoy it. Watch trying to open front door, too, you can burn your hand on the door handle. Also, it is much cooler in basement & upstairs is warmer, so it is a bit of an adjustment between the two. Use the little heater in the bathroom downstairs it helps! The beds were very comfortable though, thank you for that! The cabin is solid, though, and sound between the floors was not an issue like other cabins we have stayed in before. Hot tub was fine, just got cloudy towards end of the week so it would have been nice to utilize it all week but we were nervous to use it after the water was a bit cloudy. Would have been nice to be able to shock it to clear it up. There is a very friendly road living under the hot tub that comes out in the evening, be nice to it. And a black racer snake that we saw once too. He’s a good snake to have around. Don’t harm him either, please, if you see him. Crumpler is very small, and I would say about 30-45 minutes outside of many things in the area to do. West Jefferson has a cute downtown area and the Home Slice Pizza place was awesome. The local kayak and tubing place right over the cool on lane bridge was awesome. Nice people, and good experience there. Very close to New River, but could not find any close hiking. So drove usually 30-60 minutes depending to hike trails. Would be nice if the cabin had a little local book with stuff in the area to do. Overall, I would have given the cabin 3.5 stars. Lovely cabin in the woods
3 friends and I had a lovely long weekend at this cabin. Everything was as described. The hot tub was nice in that it was not over chlorinated like most rentals with hot tubs. Our only complaints: There was inadequate TP and no extra anywhere to be found No linens for the pull out couch in the media room No travel toiletries in the bathrooms - just soap It’s a beautiful area and we hope to come back!

We really enjoyed the property. It rained all weekend but the cabin was the perfect place to just read and relax. The only problem was the gas grill. One leg and door was broken and it was a pain to light, so we did without.

Exactly what we hoped for, quiet, remote, views.
We hoped to see snow this trip, the drive up was wet until we left the main road and climbed up to the property. It was snowing and snowed almost the entire time. Totally Beautiful.

Very nice experience!
We live in Miami and travel up north twice a year usually to Gatlinburg area. This time we decided to go to Blue Ridge Mountain Area. There were 6 of us including 4 kids + 2 small dogs(French bulldog and Chinese Crested). The cabin was very spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped(kitchenware and appliances, etc.) We had good time both in the cabin and in the area. Appalachian Ski Mountain was 1 hour drive down south and we visited it twice and had a lot of fun! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this cabin for family vacation.

Awesome cabin
We had a wonderful stay in early October. The location is easy to get to but feels very far from everything. It was very clean inside and out and had everything we needed. It is dog friendly but does not look or smell like dogs stay there. Beautiful views from the porch and looking out the windows. We went canoeing on the New river and went to west Jefferson to shop around, both were very close to the cabin. I would definitely stay here again

Very easy to rent. Great place. The one thing I did not like was having to load my garbage up in my car and go a different route to drop off.

Great mountain cabin
Our family had a great stay at this cabin. Easy to find, good neighborhood but out of eye-sight of other homes, and well-equipped for our stay. We all really enjoyed coffee on the porch, cornhole , a campfire and the hot tub! The kitchen/living room area was a little tight for 6 adults, but we made do. All-in -all a wonderful long weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is located at the end of a road surrounded by trees. Exactly what we wanted. The only complaint was the hot tub was old with only a few jets and had a leak. The cover for the hot tub is hard to remove. If the hot tub is replaced with a newer one, it would be perfect. The king size bed downstairs is comfortable. Would recommend this place to most people.

Mountain Cabin
Everything was very smooth. No issues at all. The kids loved going to Banner Elk and fishing at the trout farm. My wife loved going to Linville Falls and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you're looking for everything to be close it's not about an hour away from most attractions. That's not what we were looking for we wanted to get away and it was absolutely perfect for that.

Beautiful place
This property is amazing. The beds were comfortable all the rooms are inviting . Spent the majority of the time on the upper porch. Loved it. Sad part was it was raining most of the trip. But the home made it worth it. The only caution I would say is the stairs outside could get very slippery and the inside stairs a bit steep. The hot tub was so relaxing too bad all the jets didn't work. But still relaxing. Overall this home is a wonderful and beautiful place and I definitely recommend it. We will be returning again in the near future. Thank you for a very relaxing vacation.

Thanksgiving vacation
Beautiful place to stay for weekend. There is not much to do but West Jefferson and Boone is near. They have shopping areas and West Jefferson down Town is very cute. There an Ashe Cheese Factory where you can see how the cheese is make. The property was very cozy but the family room and dining area is very small. Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable. I recommend improve the door locks since I didn't feel secure just with the simple door knob lock.

Wondering views with a cozy cabin
On our way to the cabin the road was very ruff so drive a truck or all wheel drive Vehicle. The cabin was nice And cozy. Plenty of room In the cabin and space outside.. The hot tub was amazing and very clean . There is bedroom up stairs and one downstairs . We choose the bed that was most comfortable which was downstairs and a bigger bathroom. The downstairs does not get warm so be ready to be cold even with the heat on high upstairs it didn’t help. The grill and fireplace didn’t work for us . The kitchen has all the things that you would need . Great getaway for just a romantic time . Close to Grayson Highlands State Park and new river and Shatley springs . We enjoyed our stay thanks for letting us stay In your cozy cabin

Beautiful secluded get away
We had a minor problem at the start finding the cabin. I first received the wrong property address in the confirmation E-mail, but once we were able to get a hold of the property manager it was resolved quickly. The cabin was just as listed and was a beautiful property rather secluded and only 30 minutes from Grayson Highlands state park. So it was a great and beautiful weekend.

Great Remote Location
Perfect getaway for a long weekend. Close to downtown West Jefferson for supplies and restaurants and plenty of nearby opportunities for outdoor adventures. As others have stated, the showers are dangerously slick. One of our group fell and I almost fell as well. This could, and should, be easily remedied with some slip mats.

Not as advertised
We chose this property because it had good reviews and was ranked high in cleanliness. There were cobwebs throughout, the windows were filthy, there is dog hair on the floor and in the hallway intake, so much so that I doubt it work properly. Several rooms have missing or no light bulbs. The freezer had a lair of ice on the bottom and there was a big bowl in the fridge catching water because the freezer didn't work properly and the ice maker didn't work at all. There were missing knobs on the kitchen drawers. The hot tub didn't work properly either, no light, half the Jets were inoperable. When I called to report these items, and didn't hear back from the property manager until 4 hours later. She said that the fridge and the hot tub were old, and everything didn't work perfectly, but what did I expect out of older appliances? She also told me it wasn't her problem the owners didn't fix the appliances. Seriously?! In a text message, she promised to bring ice in the morning at 9, we waited until 9:30 and she was a no-show.
