The management is amazing! I had booked an onsite van and got an excellent upgrade to a two story cabin that cost less than renting bedding would have! Had a great stay and highly recommend

Set in a very relaxed and tranquil location, cabins are unique and nestled in amongst beautiful trees and ferns. the park is across the road from a small beach and located between smithton and Burnie and very close to Stanley. It has everything you could want from free dvds and cds to a unique fully equipped community kitchen shed with bbq. The owners were kind and friendly and it was a pleasure to meet them and stay at the crayfish. Very relaxing stay, highly recommended.

Cabin smelt stale on entry not the cleanest. Single bunks only one sheet on bed which was too big for bed looked disgusting could sleep with just doona as not sure how clean it was. Blanket on lounge smelt like smelly shoes.

Was relaxing, comfortable, private and quiet. I love the bush scenery. If your going to stay, bring your own water as the water from the tap was quite brown and didnt taste very good. But over all loved it and will stay again. And nice to know you can bring your fur babies. Will be bringing mine next time.

Check in was welcoming and helpful. The onsite van with annexe that we stayed in had plenty of beds, a large bathroom and some low doorways. The lighting in the annexe was limited (not helped by one of the light fittings missing a globe).

thank you for your concern , the reason Snow is away from accommodation is he wakes everyone up or talks all night , he is a good burglar alarm if people are sneaking around. Snow does get let out but for his protection he would rather be in his cage also has company with the other ducks and Chooks

I think the whole caravan park has a wonderful rustic feel. We have camped in the past in a lovely bushy setting. This time was in a lovely real on-site caravan with annex. Again, in a lovely bushy setting.

Place to relax
Been there before, staying in a van with an extension, nostalgic as reminds me of childhood! A lovely friendly site, mainly camping, calm,wooded & on a nice creek right near the beach.

wonderful location - unique buildings, great walks, wildlife. the playground needs to be checked for safety and if is appreciated the buildings would be very time consuming to maintain.

anciennes caravanes transformees en cabines, extremement sale,vetments sales de l ancien occupant dans les tiroirs , insectes presents meme dans le lit ,equipements cuisine tres sales,la receptionist voulait que l on dorme dans des sacs de couchage pour ne pas faire le lit ,le lendemain à notre demande ,elle nous a change de cabine,cele ci etait à peine plus propre, elle nous a envoye un message nous disant que si on voulait mieux il fallait louer la cabine luxury ….ce n est pas parceque le prix est moins eleve qu il faut que ce soit sale, pas de detecteur de fumee, pas d extincteur,dommage car le site est tres beau

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet locaton. Lovely comfy bed. Only complaint is that we couldn't drink the water, and there was no milk for a cuppa. Easily solved though. We bought some bottled water for the kettle and some milk. Lovely place to stay

vieille caravane transformée en cabine, très sale et très vétuste, présence d insectes même dans le lit ,vêtements sales dans les tiroirs, la réceptionniste nous a changé de caravane, à notre demande ,le lendemain, 2 caravanes très vielles reliées entre elles, un peu moins sales, réponses de la réceptionniste :il fallait louer le chalet luxury .... donc le prix etant moins cher on peut accepter la saleté

Loved the location. We only had a one night stay but would have liked a couple more. We stayed in the 3 bed double story. Accommodation is fairly basic for the price paid but because of the location and the feel of the park I will return again. Must have been a large group party going on the night we stayed so difficult for sleeping (still people yapping at 3am).

We stayed in the tree house cabin which was cute and quirky and the kids loved it. The lovely deck with our own BBQ, and the two bathrooms were definitely a bonus. The location is great and the walk to the waterfalls is worth it. Would stay here again.

LOVED THE TREETOP CABIN
Loved everything, heaps of room, I could of quite happily moved in, Great place to stay with kids, loved having 2 bathrooms with a spar bath (BONUS) Comfy beds with electric blankets, Stove, Microwave & everything u need to cook, TV & DVD also BBQ on veranda with table to eat a nice bbq lunch Only downfall was no wifi in the cabin only at the office Good area for campers too, bring the dog plenty of room for everyone wish i could of stayed longer, Nice getaway :)

Very run down!
We were booked into the Honeymoon room (online pictures were wayyy different to actual small boxy room, so after we were not happy the lady upgraded us to the "house". $265 for 2 nights in a run down shack that smelt so musty/full of cobwebs, unfinished rooms, we kept laundry door shut so no animals came through hole/missing roof. Walking on the floor in main bedroom basically shook all windows/flooring. Probably not a good idea to have a coffee machine in room when coffee beans provided were best before 2014. We feel very ripped off, could have paid this amount to stay at the casino or 4+ star hotels. This would be lucky to be rated at 1 star!

Unusual, quirky, great fun cabim, pretty bushy surrounds. Loke crocodylis in the daintree. Go there!

Unique with a lot of character
This is a very unique property. Small touches make this park a very nice stay away. Heater was put on for us prior to arrival so we walked in to a lovely warm room. Comfy bed and owners and son were very helpful. Highly recommend a stay there.
