„This is a wonderful place and a wonderful lodge. Manager/Owner Cameron was very welcoming and supportive. The lodge is very well maintained and equipped. Many lovely details, including a busy bird feeder on the porch. Free kajaks. We will be back. But: You need a car for this location. We were travelling by train. The place is approx 4 km from Crianlarich station and from the local Londis store, and shopping etc was difficult.“

„We stayed at Cockleshell Lodge for 10 days in November and had a fabulous time. The lodge is right on the waters edge and we would have paid for the view alone. It is absolutely stunning. There are dog walks straight from the lodge and no need to get the car ut all around the Ballimore Estate and we met the "Lady of the House" who told us some interesting facts about the estate. The lodge itself is huge ! It has a great entrance with lots of space to leave muddy boots and coats etc. There are ...

„Views are beautiful, house is comfortable but a little tired. The location and peace and quiet are fabulous, nearest supermarket is 50 minutes drive so come prepared. Perhaps some comfy chairs outside to sit and enjoy the view.“

„We had a great time in this lovely Cottage. We loved to watch birds and squirrels on our balcony. We enjoyed playing with the owner´s dog Ralph and canoeing on the loch. Portnellan is a great starting Point to reach almost every destination in the Highlands. Our tip for families ist to do the GoApe treetop challenge in Aberfoyle. Enjoy your stay, we did it.“
