Beautiful home. Clean. Great location. Only issue was the shampoo, and body wash containers were completely empty and I discovered this while i was in the shower. So couldn’t properly shower. Other than that, no real complaints.

They should change the name of this house to Cigaritaville. The smell was immediately noticeable upon entering the house but thought we could live with it. Turns out, we will live it for a while as it has traveled home with us. Our house, our car, our clothes…. All smell like cigar smoke. We brought our two young kids with us and it seems pretty negligent for the listing to not mention this is a smoking household and you should avoid bringing small kids, especially infants, into that environment. Such a shame to ruin a beautiful home permanently by smoking inside but hey, it’s not my property. I will be filing a claim with VRBO and Vacasa regarding the odor. 10/10 will book again in Palmilla, but never again at this property.

The biggest issue we had was the ventilation/house filters need to be changed because it smelled like cigarette smoke. The AC vent covers were so dirty in the bathrooms and other areas of the house. We arrived home today and all our belongings (bags, clothes, etc) smells like the awful smoke smell from the house. We are currently washing everything - even clothes we didn’t wear. For items like our duffle bags, backpacks, etc that can’t be put in the washing machine, we are airing out the smoke smell in the garage/outside. The ventilation definitely needs to be looked at before another family stays here. We had issues with allergies when we were inside the house and it was NOT comfortable for us. We felt nauseated. Besides that, I think refreshing the couch, couch pillows or living room rug wouldn’t hurt. There’s definitely a smell and we preferred not to sit there. Some of the white hand towels were stained brown. The towels can definitely be changed out. I would never stay at this property again. We stayed at a property down the street last year in the same complex, but we did not have this issue. If I’m going to pay what we did for this short weekend, there’s a level of expectation that should be met. Feeling nauseated isn’t what we wanted for my daughter’s bday weekend.

Spring break stay march 2025

The house is very nice. However the unidentifiable smell is very strange. Opening windows didn’t help. It smells like new paint/ bug spray. When we first entered the property it was very strong.The bedrooms/ kitchen nice.Please consider getting new pots. Stainless steel for example , the nonstick are toxic when scratched and these were scratched.In our opinion the umbrella rental fee is very expensive and the house comes with no beach toys / chairs or umbrella. Consider that when booking. Also consider and ask if new construction is happening next to this property during your stay. We were lucky and it was very quiet.Consider beach shoes/ unfortunately the beach receives a lot of plastic garbage.

Beautiful home but terrible odor..

The resort community and house were wonderful! My only complaint is that the house had a very strong odor of pesticide that seeped into all of our belongings, and was present throughout our entire stay. The smell was so strong it was like the house had been treated 5 mins before our arrival. Management didn’t offer much help when the matter was brought to their attention.

A little underwhelming

The location is perfect...just blocks from the large boardwalk and flat sand beach. The villa was clean with plenty of towels and kitchenware. The beds and pillows were comfy. BUT - there were door handles falling off, a smoke alarm in the king bedroom that chirped all night, a dishwasher and garbage disposal that didnt work - smelled smoke from the receptacle, a staircase to the bedrooms that is very narrow and steep, and the mattresses were so tightly fitted against half walls that the fitted sheets, once lose, cannot be put back on without a burly man's strength and alot of finese. Also, the streets are very narrow and do not easily accommodate large size vehicles.

Beautiful Destination and even wonderful property!

I got to stay at this house for my 21st birthday celebration with my friends and family and it we had an amazing stay. Everything was clean, if we needed something, it was pretty much there in the house! Bunk beds we’re comfortable! As well as the other two bedrooms in the house! We had a party of six and everyone was accommodated. Overall great experience, can’t wait to come back again this summer! (Btw rain or shine, cold or weather, you’re going to enjoy yourself here!)

Enjoyed Our Stay!

We were very pleased with our stay here, the property was cleaned when we checked in, management was very responsive and the community has nice pools and amenities which made our stay enjoyable. Golf cart access form the community to the beach is nice to come back for lunch and breaks from the sun. Highly recommend staying here and will revisit with our summer Port A trips!

very nice!

This house was very clean and comfortable. The couches and swivel blue chairs in the living area were perfect for the 6 teens and preteens we had in our group. The mattresses in all the rooms were comfortable too. The construction in the area made it a little chaotic getting around but we never heard any noise while inside. The community was nice but the streets were pretty narrow in parts because of the gargantuan decorative medians. The handle and lock on the back door could be looked at or replaced since it was tricky to lock and moved back and forth through the door. All the staff we encountered and other families were all very nice and we plan to come stay again!
