    Die salzige atlantische Brise kombiniert mit den entspannenden Klängen der Wellen an den Sandstränden von Corolla und dem schönen Wetter machen die Erinnerung zu einem unglaublichen Erlebnis für Ihre Familie. Die intensiven roten Sonnenuntergänge über den wunderschönen Soundgewässern der Whale Head Bay sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Der Himmel in Corolla ist so spektakulär wie er kommt. dunkel und sternenklar. Die umlaufenden Decks sind der perfekte Ort, um sich im Himmel von Corolla zu verlieren. Der Strand bleibt die Hauptattraktion und ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Paradies entfernt. Sandige und saubere Whalehead-Strände gehören zu den schönsten Stränden der Outer Banks.

    Das zwanglose Essen im Agave Roja oder vielleicht ein formelleres Abendessen im North Banks sind nur fünf Minuten entfernt. Dieses Haus liegt im Zentrum aller Orte, die Corolla Jahr für Jahr zu einem der beliebtesten Urlaubsziele im ganzen Land machen.

    Die Rookery ist geräumig genug für alle, um ihren eigenen Platz zu finden und dennoch unter einem Dach zu bleiben. Die Schlafzimmer bieten ausreichend Platz für zwei große Familien und sind alle mit Flachbildfernseher und bequemen Matratzen ausgestattet. Im Freien kann man am Strand nichts Besseres finden - mit einem Sonnendeck und einem Whirlpool gibt es reichlich Unterhaltung. Da Grillen einer der besten Teile des Urlaubs ist, verfügt dieses Haus über zwei Parkgrills und einen Gasgrill für den Outdoor-Koch in Ihrer Gruppe. Das Wohnzimmer auf der oberen Ebene bietet einen brandneuen 50-Zoll-Smart-TV für 2019.

    Nach einem Tag am Strand ist der Pool die perfekte Entspannungsstation für die ganze Familie. Mit reichlich Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien ist dies der perfekte Treffpunkt für ein Abendessen am Pool.

Perfect family vacation home, poor service

Gorgeous, roomy home with everything needed for a fun and comfortable family vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a large separate ice maker. Each of 3 levels have outside decks, with the 2 lower decks being covered. The top deck has a ready to use hot tub. The unheated pool is large with a nice deck furnished with plenty of chairs. Our only problem was that even though our contract clearly stated that all linens were supplied, when we arrived there were no towels and no sheets. We spent our first evening making numerous phone calls and texts to get towels and linens. At 10 pm we were told we would not get sheets for 2 of the king beds until the next morning. I asked that the manager call me the next day with no response. It was advertised that 2 beach parking passes were included. We never got them.

The beach was not far from the house at all. I thought it would be a further walk but it was not bad at all. The pool lights were not working. This was the only issue we had with the house. We were very disappointed in not being able to enjoy the pool in the evening as much as we would have liked to.

Reviewer Comments: There were numerous things that were on the owners website - like numerous beach chair and bikes - that when you actually get there - there is only 2 beach chairs and no bikes. So we had to buy beach chairs and rent bikes - if we knew this before we would have brought them. I would say that the owners need to change their website to reflect the actualy items there. We used to come to this house 15 years ago every year - but due to illnesses in the family we had stopped and wanted to revisit the house -it brought back many wonderful memories - but honestly not much has changed since we were there. The owners were always wonderful to us since we kept coming every year. Hope they can update their website so someone else won't have happen to us.

Reviewer Comments: The home is situated on a clean and quiet street with multiple beach access sidewalks that walk you right up to the ocean. There is some construction nearby which you can hear in the morning when they get started on building new beach houses. For families who don't like stairs - this is not your house. For us it was perfect...however if you have elderly family members or small children getting to and from the pool (where the BBQ grill is) back up to the kitchen could be tough for anyone older/younger/or anyone who may have a disability. While the best trip we have had to the beach was had here. The layout of the home is a bit choppy and did not lend to spending time together in large groups there is not enough space to convene anywhere except for outside that will accommodate a large number of people, the carpet was stained in many places and the home appeared a bit dated. Fun details like a basketball hoop at the pool and out front were really fun for the kids and the best part of this home is simply it's location in Corolla.

We were a little disappointed that the landscaping is totally overgrown and it appears the grass hadn't been cut in a month or so. The decking is starting to deteriorate, so we did get splinters walking on it. Externally, the home needs loving, but overall good stay.

A very small maintenance issue came up that was addressed immediately and cleared in less than a day. Outstanding support from both the owners and the property manager. Absolutely recommended to everyone. Already reserved for our fifth year.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was a good rental. The owners try to provide everything you need for a great stay. However many small things could be fixed to make things better. My rental was at the end of September. There were 8-10 bulbs burned out over the entire property. Deck lights,flood lights, inside lights,porch lights. May pet stains on the carpet. Cleaning crews left difficult areas to clean dirty. Management company did not have a sense of urgency. Had awkward phone call with them after my return. A little more follow up from management and this could all be taken care of

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our third year in a row at the Rookery. The layout of the house is perfect for us. With the kitchen/dining area/master bedroom all on the same floor everything is very convenient. Although a number of businesses are closed at this time of the year several grocery stores are nearby plus quite a few restaurants are also open within a short drive. The property itself has always been neat and clean upon our arrival. Any issues such as cable/phone outages or just general questions have always been addressed quickly by the rental staff. We have already booked our reservation for a fourth year.
