I didnt know there was a deposit until i got there as the site doesnt mention it anywhere and i was also told my deposit would be reutned to me the morning of check out and i have still yet to have any pending deposits from the Hotel

I am sorry that you missed in the description that deposit maybe required. We do require deposit if coming through third party, or paying by cash or Debit Card. We do not charge deposit if paid by regular Credit card. The deposit is required for incidentals or damage. If you paid the deposit by your Debit Card, it is returned after you check out if there are no other costs. The Debit Card refund shows back in your account within 2 to 7 working dats depending on your bank. Since you did not give us the full name and date of arrival and check out, we cannot give you the date you will get your deposit back. If you do not get it , pleasee contact us with your name and arrival date so we look into it.

Thank God it was just one night
First the fire alarm was hanging off the wall. The room appeared to not have been maintained or refreshed in 10 years. The showerhead was loose and at one point rotated and sprayed the entire bathroom. The bed was "wobbly". No real control over AC. Upon departure we noticed a roach crawling up the wall next to the bed.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry you encountered some problems. I wish you had called the front desk and they would have assigned you another room. Next time, at any hotel you experience a problem, always please inform the front desk and they would assign you a different room.

This place has people living in the back of it...and when I arrived they were too busy talking amongst each other I stood there for 25 minutes and then had a sign on the window requiring online purchases a deposit Of $50 cash or $100 If credit card used this would of been nice to know beforehand.

We do have a deposit for incidentals if paid by 3rd party, cash or debit card, but we do not charge a deposit if paid by guest's credit card. It does say deposit maybe required on our website.

This place was so sketchy we decided not to stay the night even though we had paid in full. We arrived a little before 9pm and the office had closed at 8pm. There was a side door into a small room inside with a window to the front desk where you check in. Another customer was in there waiting for the desk clerk. The clerk was just sitting behind the desk doing who knows what. After standing outside 5 minutes inspecting the surroundings, we decided to head down the road to

Somewhat ok
The night check in room was very dirty with a lot of bugs and spider webs. People having a very loud party in the parking lot well into the night. The buffet was closed which was one of the main reasons we picked that place. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

I wish you had contacted the front desk about the loud party in the parking lot, so we could have corrected the problem, and also they would have given you a different room if you were not satisfied with it. Sorry the breakfast and the pool has been closed until further notice due to virus. All the hotels in this area have closed their breakfast buffet until further notice.

No return on fees
First thought? Welcome to Grandmas house! The pictures are NOT of this place. The floor was sticky and gross. There were used dirty towels hanging on the shower. The maids were friendly. They checked on us quite a bit. However, there was no "do not disturb". Most disconcerting though, I pre-paid for the room. They did the $100 hold for incidentals. I have never gotten that back. Considering the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes and I don't smoke, I'm doubting I ever will. Be warned. I hope you like yellow.

Im still arguing with the dimwits about my 100$ deposit I HAVENT GOT BACK YET after staying on the 1st. Its nowhere on my statement and my bank says they cant find any transactions of a refund yet they claim to have released it the day of checkout. This hotel is a dump and they will be hearing from my lawyer for stealing from me.

Sorry, since you wrote anonymously, we cannot follow up whether your deposit was returned. If you were eligible for deposit refund, it would show up on your statement 2 to 7 working days depending on your bank.

They overbooked to the extent that our paid and insured reservations were not available. We waited until midnight (from 10:30) before being placed in a king room (one male sponsor with back spasms and two male college students). One student slept on the floor--the other in the chair. They were able to get us a correct room for the second night (they compt it). The problem with them not charging us for the second night is that we prepaid thru Expedia. How do we get that back?

Congealed snot on bathroom door, light over coffee area didn’t work, hot water knob falls off the spigot. Micro was not plugged in, so plugged in to use and it just kept running, had to unplug to stop. Advertise hot tub, there isn’t one.

CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL!!!
This is is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at! Our first clue should have been when we went for check-in he said he couldn't find our reservation and when I said I already paid through hotels.com he argued with me that it was only holding the room and when I was on the phone calling hotels.com it mysteriously showed up and he said oh I guess it is already paid for!! It was dirty no upkeep done at all, our room was dirty and needed repainted, had things that are screwed into the walls coming off the walls, the room lock didn't work properly, we were told breakfast was from 6 until 9 am so when we went to eat at 8:15 am and there was nothing at all left and there were several other couples that came in right after us and when we asked if they would be bringing more food out they said no because the person who does breakfast had already left for the day!! For the price we paid this should have been a heck of a lot nicer place!! If you're looking for a hotel to stay I would definitely steer clear of this dump!

Very outdated, very cold in a room, the heater is supper loud, breakfast all food is cold, there is no hut tub, no restroom when you have breakfast and the room is very far, everything is so spread out. Bedding is supper uncomfortable

Functional.
Didn’t like the front desk guy that checked us in and the hotel location was by a busy roundabout and not easy to get to on the first visit. The room was fine except a problem with the cold water in the shower- it would shut off for scalding or crank up and make the water ice at random times.

Thank you for your response. I wish you had mentioned which room so we could have fixed it. We did fix the hot water leak on 1/31/2020 that we know the 2 rooms that were affected. Sorry that you the problem and if we had known we would have changed your room.

Good value in Columbia.
The Days Inn in Columbia is a nice property and a very good value. The breakfast has yogurt, cereal, juice, eggs, and sausage. The indoor pool is spacious and nice. Our only problem was at check-in - we redeemed a free night through Hotels.com. Initially the clerk told us that we would have to pay, but after I showed up the e-mail confirming the free night, we indeed received the night free.

The staff was friendly and the location was close to the Mizzou campus. However the rooms and hotel are a little out dated. The bathroom have some type of leak the floors were wet.

When the guy next door called the cops on a woman he was with yelling about her money missing, one of the officers said this hotel is known for drugs and prostitution. Don't get me wrong, I'm not no square, but if that's not your vibe then maybe stay somewhere else.

Our hotel is not know for drugs and prostitution. The officer must be mistaken with another hotel. Eleven years ago, when it was under a different ownership, there was that problem. Since then we have had no problems as we kick out drug sellers and prostitute. In fact the police have have told us that they do not get calls at our hotel for drugs or prostitutes.

Hotels.com claims that this Days Inn allows dogs to stay free. This Days Inn DOES NOT allow dogs at all! Poor advertising on Hotels.com

We are sorry. Our Days Inn is moke free and pet free since January 1, 2019.
