Verbesserungswürdig: Ausstattung
Ein kleines, rundum erneuertes Hotel mit ganz großem Potential. Seit sechs Monaten im Betrieb, daher noch mit kleinen Anlaufschwierigkeiten. Man wird höflich begrüßt (mit erfrischendem Handtuch und Getränk) und unkompliziert ins schön eingerichtete Zimmer geführt. Abends gibt es einen Aufdeckservice und dann liegt eine hausgemachte Praline auf dem Kissen - toll! Das a la carte Frühstück war sehr lecker. Verbesserungspotential wären hier vegane Alternativen und evtl. größere Portionen. Das Bett war - obwohl neuwertig - leider nicht sehr bequem (Federn drücken durch). Hier könnte ein Topper Abhilfe schaffen. Auf „nicht stören“ bzw. „bitte reinigen“ Schilder wird verzichtet. Das führte leider ein paar Mal dazu, dass ich von klopfenden Mitarbeitern geweckt wurde. Am letzten Abend öffnete das Personal ohne Klopfen die Tür - geht leider garnicht! Zum Wlan: vom Hotel her ist Wlan ausschließlich im Restaurant oder am Pool vorgesehen. Da ich beim Reisen zwischendurch auch arbeiten muss, hätte ich mich hierfür eigentlich gerne auf mein Zimmer bzw. auf die Terrasse zurückgezogen. Richtig ärgerlich für war, dass die Internet Anbindung auch im öffentlichen Bereich häufig abbrach, länger nicht verfügbar und insgesamt langsam war. Wichtige Websessions musste ich daher verlegen. Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss sind recht dunkel, daher würde ich beim nächsten mal das Obergeschoss nehmen. Mit ein paar kleinen Verbesserungen wird das sicherlich ein Top Hotel!

(your review is anonymous so we don't have a way to know) all our mattress are of the highest quality in the market and brand new, we are wondering if maybe the room you stayed in has one that has factory issues. Rooms very clean and quiet. Property well maintained with unique path to rooms. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious! No TV’s in any rooms-take a good book. Beach easy 5 minute walk. Bar & dining area staff were excellent. Dining is semi outside and no AC (typical of most dining in Costa Rica). We were there end of April, thru first week of May and missed the rains. Entrance up to hotel parking lot might be tricky in rainy season? We enjoyed our stay at the Nya and would recommend.

Nya is a beautiful property with wildlife all around. I was able to watch a family if howler monkeys from the hammock outside my room. They left me a yummy dessert daily in my room they put in while I was out. The free breakfast menu had a variety of options including vegetarian. Property is town so walkable and beach is right across flyer road from the property. Got the best massage there as well.

Comfortable clean rooms, lovely staff, excellent yoga instructors, brilliant location. Restaurant menu was a little over ambitious although the banana macadamia nut pancakes and the sorbets are excellent. Very good cocktails.

Nya is a beautiful property, secluded and peaceful but right on the edge of town so everything is walkable. The room was immaculate, large, and well lit; the grounds beautiful, and the pool area was shaded and quiet and very clean. It’s an oasis of calm in paradise. One complaint - the restaurant looks lovely, and the food is very good, but it’s expensive, the service is poor, and there is simply not the same care factor as for the rest of the property. It’s a shame, because with a little improvement it would be outstanding. A particular note - it turns out that while the menu marks many items as gluten free, they are not, in fact, gluten free. As a coeliac, this is a problem for me - it did not seem to bother the restaurant staff though!! My summary - stay here, but take advantage of the proximity to town and eat elsewhere - there are much better options.

Most relaxing hotel I have every stayed at
This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I have been all over the world! The surroundings are just so relaxing. Nice and shaded. I stayed for 5 nights and kept finding a new spot to chill out each evening ie one of the hammocks dotted about, seating or just at the pool. The bar/restaurant adjacent serves delicious food and drink that is very reasonably priced. The room smelt so clean and fresh and was so nice to walk into on return from a (hot and sweaty) hike. Beach and Montezuma town is on your doorstep also.

Idyllic hotel surrounded by jungle
A beautiful place with helpful staff and lots of thoughtful touches, like the organic insect repellent and a proper kettle, mugs and milk in the room. Delicious treats arrived daily. Stunning setting surrounded by masses of wildlife though the drive down is a little hairy in the dark - the last bit of road is terrible. Nearby beaches are quiet and pretty. Comfortable beds and lovely private terrace. Good breakfasts and cocktails. Excellent yoga classes with the loveliest teacher were an unmissable start to the day. The only slight negatives were the lack of hot water (though it was so hot outside it didn’t really matter) and some of the restaurant staff seemed a little inexperienced and in need of training. But we’d return in a heartbeat!

Very nice property in this quaint town. Service was impeccable. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Excellent water pressure. Property was located steps from beach and town. The beach in this area is a little rocky, but a 20 minute hike to Playa Grande and you will be at one of the most gorgeous beaches for surfing and swimming. It includes a nice little water hole on the way. If I go back to this area, I would stay here again. Nice job NYA!

Great hotel for a romantic getaway
Great experience at Nya! We got upgraded to a room with a terrace and we enjoyed the hotel's excellent restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The pool area is also very nice and relaxing. We also got surprised with treats every day at the room and the staff placed umbrellas at the rooms when it rained. The breakfast is served a la carte and not as a buffet but the dishes are of very high quality and taste. Also comes with fresh juice and really good coffee. AC in the rooms were superb and ensured that we could get away from the heat easily when needed. Also loved that it had so many spots for relaxation in hammocks and the great location close to both the beach and the Montezuma town center. Only negative I would say is that some of the staff (just a few) were not super service minded, and there was at times some noise from other rooms and animals outside. All in all, an excellent hotel I would love to come back to.

Recommended!!
Nya Hotel is a beautiful property surrounded by nature and short walking distance to the beach. The pool area is lovely and it's really amazing to swim and chill out while a bunch of monkeys are playing around on the trees. The rooms are nice, not huge but roomy enough. I found the mattress and the pillow quite uncomfortable (not used to hard mattress and airy pillow) but the staff really tried to be helpful about it. If you like hot showers, you need to get up early, no hot water after 8am, but I guess it is understandable for a small hotel on the beach - It didn't ruin the experience for me and the weather was very hot for the most part anyway. The restaurant is nice -- Good chicken sandwich and burgers and I loved that they can make fresh fruit juices whenever! Some staff members are nicer than others but altogether, at least from our experience, it's probably the best restaurant in town. We definitely recommend Nya hotel!

Lovely hotel....restaurant staff needs help.
The front desk clerks were super helpful, welcomed us with sparkling wine and at first we felt at home. Had a lovely yoga session. The rooms are small but great balconies with surrounding trees and animals. I loved being right in town. The main complaint was staff in the restaurant. At dinner and at 2 breakfasts we really felt like we were putting the staff out by just being there, it was not a welcoming restaurant. Overall I did enjoy the hotel though.

On a eu un service exceptionnel. Le personnel est attentionné et on a eu droit à une bouteille de champagne. On a eu problème avec la toilette ne flush pas bien mais c’est de la mécanique normal que ça arrive. Le reste parfait.

Nya us a really beautiful place with amazing beaches around. You can have many adventures staying here, like waterfalls, rivers, monuments and a national park. It's a really natural environment not full of hotels or urban development.

El hotel es muy lindo, hay mucha vegetación y una agradable piscina. El menú del restaurante no es muy variado, pero cerca del hotel hay otros restaurantes. Cuando reserve se me indico en la pagina de hoteles unos beneficios, pero propiamente el hotel nunca hicieron mención de ellos.

Realmente sensacional! El hotel está lleno de detalles, la comida del restaurante es única; original y deliciosa. Las habitaciones cómodas y muy limpias, además de lindas. Volveremos!!
