It was disappointing the first morning being woke by other customers revving truck engines for 20 minutes starting at 5:30 am. After a long drive and long day, sleep was very much needed. I understand contractors renting by the week are important to your bottom line, but respect for other customers should be monitored and enforced. Front was not manned during normal business hours. Went to the front desk several times, with no success. Breakfast bar was not kept stocked. Coffee was good but found breakfast selections had been picked over to the point that Sunday morning I didn't find a item I could eat. Disappointed.

My mother had surgery scheduled for Monday n due to weather conditions we drove down the night before. We were taken care of upon arrival by the manager. Rooms were nice n clean, beds very comfortable. Knowing our situation because of the outstanding customer service the manager told my mother that if roads were still not good the next day she would let me keep my room free of charge! Our overall experience was very comforting n enjoyable!

A bit disappointed.
Pretty run-down. Needs a major update and cleaning. Bulbs burnt out, linens, carpet are old and frayed. Lots of small details overlooked. Makes it seem unkept.

My son called to confirm reservation and let them know that we were at a wedding/ reception in Duncan and would be checking in late. He was told there was no reservation and we did not have a room. I have the emails and was charged. We ended up sleeping in Klemme on a family members couch and recliner. I have called and left messages to speak to GM with no response.

About what you expect.
About what you'd expect of small town Iowa and commensurate for the price. The bathroom floor could have used a sweeping and some of the bathroom fixtures were showing their age, but it was adequate. Friendly owner/operators, though.

This was our best of all the times we have stayed there!! This time the carpet wasn’t wet, the room didn’t smell, the air conditioner worked properly and the whole room was actually clean and not just tidied up. We appreciate the hard work!!!

The room was adequate although bathroom is not suited for elderly individuals. Had issues with the shower and sink. There is some delayed maintenance that should be attended to, however did not overly affect our stay. TV signal was good as was the internet. Staff was very helpful and hospitable.

Nice hotel where Daughter and family live.
This was a nice hotel. I was disappointed that they allowed smoking in the building. As a person who is allergic to smoke it made my stay here a medical problem. I would not recommend this motel to someone that does not smoke. Otherwise it was a nice motel. Also the scent stuff in the room was overwhelming. Caused headaches for me.

This hotel not for me
I was in the area to visit family in nearby Eagle Grove. However, I also had business to tend to. The WiFi was a very important part of my stay as when I wasn't with family I would be working in my room. WiFi worked great on all three of my devices the first afternoon and evening. By the next morning, none of my three devices would connect to internet. I went to two nearby fast food restaurants, my relative's house and a restaurant there and all three devices connected fine. I told the manager that morning about 8am. She said her sons take care of that and would be there at 10am. I requested they contact me. Never heard anything. I went back the next morning and, basically was told it's my issue and not the hotel's. I requested the router be restarted as that would probably fix the issue, but management refused and had no further contact with me. I was going to try one more time to convince them as I found another traveler with the same issue. As I walked toward the front desk, all I heard was a female in the adjoining manager's apartment yelling, cursing and not tending the front desk. I gave up at that point. It's a shame because the rest of the stay was ok. I plan to be in that area sometimes 5 days at a time and as often as once a month, but access to internet and good customer service is imperative for me to be able to work when I'm not with family. I will have to try another hotel.

My reservation was not there when I checked in from expedia. They said we got the last room, bath tub full of hair and floor was very dirty, security door to building was broken anyone could get in, security latch on our door was broken, sink was all scratched up, chairs were all stained, lampshades bad shape falling apart and carpet was stained and dirty.

Not so great
We've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, and it was always clean, up to date, and comfortable. However, this seems to have changed. Upon arrival, the room had a very musty smell to it, and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. Seems like they replaced the beds with what was more or less a box spring. Understand that the hotel is under new ownership from when we were last there, best of luck to the new owners but it seems as though the place defiantly needs a re-do.

While the staff was friendly, the room was filled with flies. We were able to get a fly swatter from the front desk and killed about 15 of them, but still had some buzzing around throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean, but the room and especially the bed had a musty smell as if it were slowly rotting/molding. Alright for the price.

Close to heartland museum. very quiet and comfortable. staff very pleasant and helpful. Museum has Big Bud the biggest tractor in the world.
