„The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.“

„If I could give more stars I would! This has got to be one of the COOLEST places we've ever stayed. Very nicely appointed. Kitchen has all you need. Its true! You can pick right from the garden and fruit trees. We had eggplant, tomatoes and rosemary from the garden. Pears and figs from the trees. We hiked along the Appalachian Trail! „We stayed at this cottage for my sons State swim meet at the aquatic center in Christiansburg. It was only 3 minutes away and couldn't have been better. The house was perfect. We weren't there much due to swimming, the fridge was perfect for us, but if you need to have a regular size fridge, this cottage has a mini fridge. „Overall the property meet expectations. The home was clean and well put together. Hot tub was clean and fully functional. Fishing was good and easy with a spacious dock. The driveway is steep with limited turn around space but other than that no issues.“

„We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter's graduation from VCOM. We rented both Claytor Escape and Green Cape Cottage. We enjoyed the kayak, paddle boards and swimming off the dock. The house was clean and well-stocked. Check in was easy and the host was very responsive. And - the front porch of Claytor Escape is wonderful!“

„Lovely peaceful spot along the New River. Had two dogs with us so took advantage of gate on the porch and fenced backyard. Porch was a great spot for watching herons, deer, ospreys, and eagles. Convenient to hiking, Radford, and Va Tech (and for morning coffee). Owners were very responsive to any Qs we had. “

„We loved our stay at the Tree House. All of the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. Having the dock right there made mornings wonderful for kayaking and fishing. All of us enjoyed swimming from the dock and catching the ice cream boat.“
