Service am Empfang enttäuschend
Wir hatten einen direktflug von Frankfurt nach Chicago. nach 9,5 Stunden Flug + weiteren Stunden Autofahrt kamen wir beim Hotel gegen 12:00 Uhr an. Check in war laut Expedia gegen 13 Uhr. Die Damen am Empfang hatte schon gar keinen Bock überhaupt was zu machen. Als ich ihr die Reservierung vorlegte und um einen früheren Eintritt zum Zimmer aufgrund des langen Fluges bat wurde ich gleich abgewiesen. Check.in erst ab 15 Uhr. Ich konnte ihr nicht mal erklären das wir einen langen Flug hatten, sie blickte auf das CheckIn Schild und ging wieder vom Empfang weg ohne irgend eine Regung. Ich bin jedes Jahr in den USA in unterschiedlichen Hotels und hatte bisher nie derartige Probleme. Schade, aber wenn man lieber im Hinterzimmer auf ebay & co. Surft anstelle die Kunden ordentlich zu bedienen, bitte. Also kurz vor 15 Uhr noch mal vorbeigekommen. Dieses mal wurde ich vom Hotel-Manager direkt bedient und siehe da, selbst vor 15 Uhr war ein Check-In möglich. Dieser war auch viel netter und angestrebter. Also Koffer holen, Zimmer anschauen, frisch machen und Urlaub genießen.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
Das Hotel ist alt, aber die Zimmer sind sauber und gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist für Europäer eher gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht sehr umfangreich, aber reicht zum überleben. Der Preis ist einfach unschlagbar. Für 11 Übernachtungen haben wir lediglich etwas über 400.- Euro bezahlt. Wir haben einen Sparpreis gebucht und solange alles sauber ist war uns der Rest egal. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer großen Hauptstr. dennoch war das Zimmer absolut ruhig. Wir haben Familie besucht und uns daher nicht viel im Zimmer aufgehalten, aber man hätte es können, denn es hatte alles was man braucht. Besonders gut fanden wir den Kühlschrank, der deutlich größer als eine Minibar war. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten.

I booked this hotel through Expedia and made the payment at the time of booking. However, at the time of checking in, hotel staff asked for additional charge for my child who I already paid for. Even after explaining the full payment for same count of guests, he made me wait in the lobby as he was checking with his manager. Although he finally let us check in without additional charge. I found this causing displeasure and stress after a long day drive.

I was on my way home from a trip visiting family with my son in Kentucky. This was just to be a nice place to stop at for a rest. Upon checking I asked to use the bathroom after being on the road. I was told the public bathroom was out of order. then to be told shortly later that they now usable. Once I entered the bathroom it was dirty. it was clear that the out of order sign was just to keep people out of it. Sai. I believe was his name, he checked me in well.. actually he was training a nice young women whom was a dear. BUT SAI!! he was rude. very rude. made me feel uncomfortable. only and hour later I went to the desk to request ONE extra towel. my room only had two and was in need of and extra one. AFTER getting the third degree about how many people were in my room. I explain twice why that I needed two towels for myself... being one for my hair one for my body. and one for my son. I was given an extra towel. This was SAI whom was being to rude about one towel ONE TOWEL!!! In the room there is a motion sensor it goes off with any movement. I WAS WOKEN UP THREE!! from just my son moving the bed. the third time it work me up was 2:45am. so I just packed up my stuff and left. Never even got to get to use one of my amenities I paid for, meaning breakfast. I ASLO feel bad for whom ever gets stuck with room 138. For it is next to an entrance. When this door closes it slams with the LOUDEST SOUND. which i am sure would wake up anyone in the middle of the night.

Rocky was at the front and very attentive. I travel frequently and tried various places. This hotel is conveniently located, clean and the staff is very friendly and always remembers me. The price is also very good

They charged me $25 extra for my son who is a child (age 15) because it was supposedly on their hotel policy, which I read their policy and it never states a age range for what children are free or how much they’d be. They also charged me a deposit fee of $100 that was not stated on Expedia as compared to other hotels that I looked through the website on the same day of booking the room for 2 adults and a child. My room was a two bedroom for up to 4 people and they charged me more when there shouldn’t be a difference in payment for another person. The staff that checked me in was also providing terrible customer service and was ridiculously rude for a simple question that was asked because he caused a confusion when stating things related to my payment on Expedia as “ oh they only care about the money that they charge and if you want to claim your money spent ask them.” but knowing as well Expedia tells you what is required offers given for a booking for customer satisfaction in savings. I was absolutely shocked and disappointed with this hotel. I spoke the following morning when I checked out to a different staff person and they were trying to provided proof of their policy for the deposit and extra charge for my child and they themselves weren’t able to give me any proof of so said & stated that the manager would call me for my refund and have not received my refund for the extra charges.

Expedia does list the information in question: the following is directly from Expedia website"The name on the credit card used at check-in to pay for incidentals must be the primary name on the guestroom reservation2 children, per adult, up to the age of 12 years, can stay for free if using existing beds when occupying the parent or guardian's room. Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy. All of which may be found under hotel policies. Perhaps you missed this information. I am sorry that the morning staff was unable to show this to you. We look forward to serving you again in the very near future.

Perhaps you missed this on Expedia.com The following is directly from the site "Government-issued photo identification and a credit card, debit card, or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges". It is our hope that this clarifies any concerns you might have had.

Room was very clean, comfortable, and updated. Property was quiet. Good breakfast. Staff was readily available for any questions or problems. Only problem I had was shower doors were not installed properly and would not stay closed. Will definitely stay there again when in town.

If you had issues with the TV all you had to do was call the front desk so that we have the opportunity to fix it. Easy to get to. Quick check in and amazing staff. The rugs are pretty nasty but this is my go to place when in town.
