Ein älteres, aber top gepflegtes Hotel mit Flair, freundlichem Personal und großzügigen Räumlichkeiten. Frühstück mit bester Auswahl. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Restaurant, das Abendbuffet war ausgezeichnet!

Das Hotel war ehemals Westin, das Gebäude ist dementsprechend alt. Aber es ist immer noch in recht gutem Zustand, sehr großzügig gestaltet. Schon das einfachste Zimmer ist recht groß und gut ausgestattet, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein kostenloser Shuttle bringt Gäste zu Einkaufszentren und in die Innenstadt. Das Holiday Inn Chiang Mai guter Platz, um zu bleiben!

Etwas abgelegen...
Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb des Stadtzentrums direkt am Fluss. Das Zimmer hat uns überzeugt, obwohl einiges etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Sauberkeit war gut. Einzig die Dusche machte auf mich einen etwas schmudeligen Eindruck. Die schwarzen Fliessen, waren verkalkt und benötigen schon seit langer Zeit eine entsprechende Behandlung. Auch der undichte Schlauch neben dem Bidet könnte man gelegentlich reparieren. Zur Stadt hin ist es zuweit um zu laufen. Es hat aber praktisch immer ein Tuk-Tuk vor dem Haus, das einem für 150 Bath ins Zentrum bringt. Alles in allem ok.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, außerdem organisiert das Hotel kostenfrei pro Tag mehrere Shuttle - Bus - Verbindungen. Das Gebäude ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Bad/ Fitness/ Pool sind sehr renovierungsbedürftig, Zimmerausstattung eher spartanisch, etwas abgewohnt. Das Personal ist liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit.

Das Hotel liegt relativ zentral. Bis zum Flughafen ein Katzensprung.Frühstück ist super. Das Zimmer war schön groß.Wir hatte zwei große Betten. Einzig, der Teppichboden stört. Wir werden auf jeden Fall dieses Hotel wieder buchen wenn wir in Chiang Mai sind.Auf jeden Fall den Sonntags Brunch probieren!

I rated negative due to the fact that the Chiang Mai government said it would be safe to breathe the sir it was not safe it was dangerous for any living creature to breathe the highly toxic air, therefore I am asking for a full refund for round trip air fare and full refund from your hotel. I will also contact Prime minister Srettha Thavisin regarding the lack of concern for public safety. I have been visiting Thailand for 10 years and have never experienced such a lack of concern for a tourist and for putting monetary gain over safety. The pollution was so bad that after the fact the safety protocols such as breathing rooms were put in place by Mr. Nirat. This is a relatively new facility, and was designed as a modern, high-end hotel. However, it has fallen into severe disrepair. My stay here was awful due to the poorly maintained and/or non-functioning facilities. The only parts of the hotel that are really nice are the lobby and the breakfast bar area. All of the common area upstairs carpeting is damp, and there is a damp/mildewy odor throughout the hotel. In addition, the carpeting in my guest room had a strong damp and mildewy odor, which proceeded to give me a respiratory infection. I was staying here in order to perform concerts for 3 nights, and I had to cancel all of my performances because I was sick from the mildew in the carpet in my room. In addition, one of the main reasons I stayed in this hotel was for the gym and the sauna. The sauna was completely broken and off-line, and was not working at all. In addition, the gym was a joke. Although it was very large, there were hardly any free weights, and no barbell. In addition, the few weight machines they had were super low-quality and flimsy, to the point of being dangerous. This hotel really ruined my annual trip to Chiang Mai, and months later, I am still extremely upset about it. They should really refund my entire payment in full, before I leave this same review on every single travel website on the entire internet. Note: All of the staff here are REALLY nice and helpful. All of the above is solely due to the owners not maintaining their hotel.

Everything except location was great, staff, cleanliness, facilities, etc The location is no good, no decent place to walk around, just busy roads with no sidewalks where the scooters can hit you, no decent cafe or restaurant nearby , only a few street food , 15 min taxi to old town

Disappointed in this hotel
Had an unfortunate stay at the Centara Riverside Chiang Mai which we were quite saddened by as the Centara in Udon Thani and the Centra by Centara in Mae Sot were fantastic hotels. To start with the check in was a little bit awkward but we just thought the staff were having a difficult day as it was almost New years eve. Anyway, we continued to our room, a junior suite, and settled in. Had a good night sleep, got up and went to breakfast, unfortunately the breakfast here is terrible and everyday it just got worse, food is very cold and pastry quite stale, coffee machines broken and a very average selection for a luxury hotel. The only saving grace was the staff member who was cooking the omelettes, he's a bloody legend as it was the only food that was not ice cold. In my opinion you should make him the restaurant manager, hes the only one actually making the place better. As the days went on it was apparent that the a/c in our room was completely broken and just blowing hot air non stop, call guest services and they said they would send a technician straight up, waited 15 min and left without seeing him, thankfully it was sorted by the last night of our stay. The other staff worth mentioning were the housekeeping on our floor (7th) and also the car park staff and bell boys, they were all great! Wont be coming back to Centara Riverside Chiang Mai in a hurry as im sure there are other good hotels to choose from in CM. Please try to improve

Is an old hotel that is very bare-bone, with limited staff, and has never been renovate. It mainly cater to large transit tour group. Is isolated from the city, sitting next to a river that is actually a large pond.

The good: The staff at front desk, luggage stand and cleaning staff were very friendly. The bad: The hotel is very outdated. The toilet did not work in our room when we arrived and then again stopped working the next day after fixed. When neighboring rooms shower the walls make a horrific high pitch noise. The room itself was clean but smelled of mold. The main lobby smelled so bad of a scent that was so overpowering it triggered my asthma. The pool was nice and clean but no towels or cushions for half the chairs.
